Discovering Morrisons in Livingston: A Comprehensive Review

Morrisons in Livingston is more than just a supermarket; it's a community hub that caters to a diverse range of shoppers. With its wheelchair-accessible entrance and amenities, this store strives to provide an inclusive shopping experience for everyone.

Accessibility Features

The supermarket prides itself on accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible car park and toilets. Shoppers can feel reassured knowing there's a wheelchair-accessible toilet available for their convenience. However, some customers have highlighted issues with staff availability in certain parts of the store, particularly in areas like the cafe and petrol station.

Shopping Experience

Many shoppers rave about the great produce available at Morrisons, from fresh fruits and vegetables to quality meats at the butchery. The spacious aisles allow for easy navigation, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience, especially during peak hours when the crowd can be overwhelming. Despite these positives, a few customers have expressed dissatisfaction with long wait times at checkout or for in-store services, noting instances where cashiers seemed rushed.

Cafe and Service Options

The Morrisons cafe offers a variety of meals, but customer experiences vary greatly. While some patrons enjoy their meals and appreciate the friendly service, others report extended wait times and issues with food quality. For instance, a customer mentioned a 45-minute wait for a breakfast that arrived cold, highlighting inconsistent service. The cafe environment could improve as well; while it serves as a gathering spot, cleanliness and timely service have been points of contention among visitors.

Payment Methods and Offers

Morrisons accepts various payment methods including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and easy. Regular offers and promotions are frequent, catering to budget-conscious shoppers. However, some customers have voiced concerns about discrepancies between in-store prices and sales advertised online.

Environment and Community Initiatives

An often-discussed aspect of Morrisons is its commitment to the environment, with various recycling options available in-store, such as for batteries and plastic bags. Additionally, the supermarket has been noted for being LGBTQ+ friendly, aiming to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Conclusion: Highlights and Areas for Improvement

While Morrisons in Livingston boasts a fantastic selection of products, amenities, and generally friendly staff, there are clear areas that require attention. Improved staffing levels, particularly in the cafe and service points, could enhance the overall shopping experience. Customers appreciate the thoughtfulness of some staff members who go above and beyond, yet consistent service is crucial for maintaining customer loyalty. In summary, Morrisons remains a favorite for many due to its vast range of offerings and community spirit. Continuous feedback from customers can help shape an even better shopping experience for everyone who walks through its doors.

I used to pop into this Supermarket daily for my lunch, but they've gone and taken out the tills and left just about 5 self-service checkouts. Had to wait twice as long as usual, really shows a lack of respect for their customers' time. Looks like I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Amber Young (11/06/2025, 00:07):
I absolutely adore popping into Morriston Livingston because the variety of fresh fruit and vegetables always seems so extensive, and the vibe is like that of a bigger local market. The selection of cut flowers is also quite impressive, I must say.

I was at Morrisons the other day and saw two colleagues chatting when they weren't busy. The managers then separated them, and one of the managers started talking to another colleague. I find this hypocritical and not right in the slightest. Also, why are they wearing high-vis vests? They're not in a vehicle operating area or a factory, and we can see them just fine with their uniforms on. What world have we come to?
Jason Bennett (09/06/2025, 17:43):
Could you kindly consider adding more personnel in the cafe? The hardworking staff are quite overwhelmed with their tasks. As a result, my meal ended up getting cold, but I still managed to savor it.
Jose Lopez (09/06/2025, 12:13):
Awesome shop, always ace deals, cafe, petrol station, and the staff is dead helpful too.
Stephanie Mitchell (08/06/2025, 10:52):
I must say, the service was rather lacking. We had to wait a good 30 minutes for just 2 breakfasts, despite being told it would only take 10 minutes. Quite disappointing, I must say.
Carol White (07/06/2025, 22:08):
I much prefer this store over Asda. The atmosphere is far superior, with a better layout and setup. I particularly enjoy the pasta and salad bar, it's fantastic.
Brittany Reynolds (07/06/2025, 11:08):
I recently visited a cafe for some food, and it was quite awful. The food was undercooked and the cleanliness was seriously lacking from what I observed. Due to this experience, my stomach is not feeling well, so I will definitely not be returning.
Layla Fisher (07/06/2025, 01:51):
It was a proper madhouse at the supermarket! The queue for food was full of regular folk, waiting about 10 minutes just to place an order. And it seemed like there was only one worker handling everything. Nine tables were waiting on their grub, and others needed a good cleaning. Talk about a lively Saturday! The staff, bless 'em, were running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Carol Morris (04/06/2025, 19:26):
I was on the hunt for a recently restocked item, and two staff members seemed clueless about its whereabouts. In a previous instance where I was searching for a hard-to-find product, a staff member used their stock checker to determine the correct aisle. Do they no longer utilize this tool? I ended up finding what I needed at B&M where I purchased three of the items. Apologies, Morrison's, there's room for improvement.
Charles Myers (03/06/2025, 18:18):
Morrisons has undergone some changes throughout the years, and I must say, the new layout is quite improved. However, I can't quite fathom why one would have to trek all the way to the opposite end of the store just for a bottle of milk; it's a bit puzzling why they opted for this arrangement. Nonetheless, the range of food options caters well to all kinds of budgets, and the service at the butchers counter is top-notch.
Billy Stewart (02/06/2025, 00:21):
There's not enough staff manning the checkouts and the checkout belts are too wee for me to fit all my weekly haul. I've stopped coming here for my big shop because of that, but it's alright if you just need a few bits. Parking is free, trolleys don't need a coin, there's a petrol station, decent prices, and a good range of stuff. Sometimes the multipack offers are daft though, like £3.50 for a 4-pack of Heinz beans or buy two for £8 - absolute nonsense!
Denise Hamilton (01/06/2025, 00:58):
Lovely café, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and complimentary refills on all hot beverages. A delightful experience worth revisiting!
David Brooks (29/05/2025, 21:44):
I say, how chilly can they make the shop? No wonder the staff are sporting fleeces.
Justin Gonzalez (27/05/2025, 08:20):
There's a good selection of fresh fish finally, but the shelves are pretty bare in the fruit and veg section. Scarcely any tomatoes to be found. Running low on other items across the entire store as well.
Christian Cox (22/05/2025, 05:25):
I have noticed a variety of opinions about the café on this platform, so I wanted to share my experience. I arrived right when the café opened and was greeted by a friendly staff member who prepared an outstanding breakfast for me. I definitely plan on returning for more of this delicious food.👍
Roy Thompson (20/05/2025, 00:44):
I make it a point to swing by this store bright and early at 7am daily. It's quite apparent that all the staff have a preference for parking as close to the entrance as humanly possible, with the same cars occupying the same spots each morning. There are plenty of spaces further away from the entrance that they could utilize, thus allowing paying customers to snag those prime parking spots closer to the door for added convenience. I popped by this morning a good 10 minutes before opening, only to find the car park spaces adjacent to the entrance already filled with staff vehicles.
Russell Kim (18/05/2025, 02:06):
The chaps were chatting about the closure of their local supermarket, it will be such a shame, what a pity.
Frank Cruz (17/05/2025, 18:40):
It's a Morrisons, innit? Always spotless and organized, the plants are top-notch. Pharmacy's a bit hit or miss, depends on the staff – shoutout to the pharmacists though, always on point. They stopped the free coffees for NHS peeps about a month back, but big up Morrisons for doing that for so long (wouldn't say no to it making a cheeky comeback, like).
Robert Barnes (15/05/2025, 08:26):
It was a bit tricky to locate the place as the sat nav went a bit wonky, but the night manager was a real gem and helped us out with parking our motorbikes. He even made sure to set up some cameras to keep an eye on them, so we could rest easy and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. We checked out at 11am feeling refreshed and ready for a safe journey back home, all thanks to the great service and hospitality.
