Lovely spacious store and the staff are super friendly.
There's a car park, but you'll need to pay depending on how long you plan to browse.

When you're nipping in for a wee, do yourself a favour and park on the side where you enter first! This place is massive, and I had to trek the whole length of the store with a bursting bladder. The toilets could definitely use an upgrade in size and upkeep. On the plus side, they do offer a good selection of quality food and drinks as well. Cheers!

A young lass at the self-service tills was rushed off her feet and seemed quite overwhelmed 😞 It was during the weekend, so the store was bustling with shoppers. She handled it admirably! However, it appeared as though she was left to manage the entire shop on her own...

There are more closed checkouts than open, even during the busiest times. Basic everyday items are consistently missing from the shelves or out of stock. The so-called "Roll Back" deals are meant to deceive customers and are rarely ever a true bargain. They spend millions on advertising to lure customers in, but very little to ensure a smooth checkout experience (i.e., constant closed checkouts leading to long queues). It seems like Asda management is fine with lengthy, slow-moving lines and frustrated customers at the checkout. This shows how little regard they have for their loyal customers.

I popped into the Asda cafe yesterday for a spot of coffee. As I went to take a seat, I noticed that the red cushion was damp. Deciding to flip it over to find a dry spot, I was taken aback to discover that it was stuck to the chair with remnants of old food and sweets. It was quite revolting. It is high time for a thorough cleaning in that cafe before the health and safety inspectors pay a visit.

I absolutely adore the pizzas available at this establishment, especially with the option to select from 4 delicious toppings right before your eyes.
Overall, it's a fantastic spot for grocery shopping, and you can also find any additional odds and ends you may need to add that perfect touch to your home.
The staff is usually fine, not excessively friendly but certainly helpful if I'm being completely honest.

The new Click and Collect service at Livingston is much slower than the previous setup. With only one person managing the phone calls, assisting customers, selecting items from the store, and delivering them to the car, the process takes too much time, I'm afraid.

I had a rather frustrating experience with the self-checkout at this supermarket.
The machine wouldn't process my payments using both a credit and a debit card, and it also failed to provide a receipt for me to pay at another register. As a result, I had to unload all three bags of groceries, scan them again, and repack them neatly while there was a line of people waiting behind me, which made the whole situation very stressful.
I even thought about leaving my cart and returning during the day when there are cashiers available at the registers.
The express checkout wasn't so express during the night, and the store isn't open 24/7 every day.
The staff was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible, but these kinds of incidents seem to occur frequently and are currently under investigation, according to what they told me.

Completely gobsmacked by the delivery service, me partner placed an order on Friday for today by 1500hrs, including a birthday cake and present, only to be given the runaround and lied to by the customer service line. They provided three different delivery times, then said they had no driver and suggested either collecting from the store (she can't drive) or waiting for potential delivery tomorrow, or even up to five days for a refund. Folks rely on these services to feed their families, and the call center's attitude was basically "tough luck, not our problem" leaving you without groceries to feed your wee one or spoiling your pal's birthday surprise. And now you're left with no cash to get anything from a more reliable place for 5 days. Brilliant service, Asda Livingston.
Someone from the store got in touch, the refund finally came through today after being promised it would be done last night (call center strikes again), and they threw in a ten quid voucher for the mess they caused on the special day. 👍

I would rate the food as 0 stars.. MACARONI CHEESE, if you can call it that, was awful. The chips were cold and overcooked. The TOASTIE was not a TOASTIE at all, just a warm and crusty sandwich. However, the PIZZA was fantastic! Kudos to the chef who makes and cooks it. The new manager is really cheerful and friendly. We will definitely return for the PIZZA, but we won't be trying anything else on the menu. The cafe food used to be superb.

Supermarket is the bee's knees, mate! It all started at Almondvale Centre, where the post office used to be. Back in the day, it was just a big car park with the chippy on one end. When you walked out the doors, the cinema was on your right, with the two-to-four shop beside it. A bit further down, you'd find the ice rink. Nowadays, it's bloomin' huge and draws folks from all over. Cheers to that! ❤️❤️❤️

I placed an order online the week afore Christmas. Items commonly used for Christmas include two beef joints, one of which arrived and one went missing. I reported this to Asda online (no refund), but received no response as to why. The second item, cheese, was open and dry, indicating that it had been open for some time before arriving at our house (no refund) or no response. Notice recently, if you order online, please make sure you get items in date, as I checked through all items after this and it is always one day before it goes out of date.
It is as if they are giving you old food when you shop online, and the lazy staff who picks the items is not bothered. And say that they do not have the item in store.
All of the items that were not on my shopping list (I had to wait to get my money back) were on the shelves when I went down the same day. This was approximately 20 minutes after my shopping was delivered.
This worried me because I thought of all the people who rely on their shopping being delivered to them and end up losing money or having to wait days to receive their money back.

It was a rather eventful Friday evening at the supermarket. Asda has always been known for its quick and efficient service, but yesterday was a complete disaster. Can you believe that only two checkouts were open, one of them being the assisted checkout? Both lanes had a long line of about nine customers each with full shopping carts. I had to wait for almost 30 minutes to be attended to, which is way longer than even during the busy Christmas season when I only wait around 20 minutes.
I understand the importance of inclusivity, but the only staff members available to assist customers seemed to be struggling with mobility issues and were moving at a very slow pace. A particular staff member, with a perfectly straight blonde bob, asked if anyone wanted to use the self-checkout, but no one took up the offer. She then made a somewhat snarky comment, saying "Well, you all will just have to wait!" in a rather pointed tone. I found this response to be extremely unprofessional. Instead of blaming the customers, the staff could have easily opened another checkout lane to speed things up.
As someone with a disability that limits my ability to stand for long periods, waiting in a half-hour queue is simply not feasible for me. Whether this issue stems from a lack of staff or poor management decisions, I have decided that I will not be returning to Asda until this matter is properly addressed.

Oh blimey, what a right mess! I popped into the store to grab some sardines for my cat, only to find they were crawling with worms! Had to lug them back to the shop, and they only gave me a measly 5 quid voucher as compensation. But the real shocker was when I nearly stepped in a massive piece of poo right by the checkout! Told the lady at the till, wish I'd snapped a pic for proof. Absolutely foul! Needless to say, I won't be setting foot in that supermarket again, absolutely vile.

So, this big supermarket has gone and closed all its regular checkouts at certain times to push folks towards those self-service machines. And wouldn't you know it, those self-service gadgets end up conking out. And when you try to get some help, the staff are too caught up in chatting away to lend a hand. Absolutely dreadful service!

Fantastic supermarket, never had any issues while shopping here. Amazing deals for my weekly grocery haul. Also got some gardening tools and plants. Their clothing is perfect for working in the garden as well. And the car park is quite impressive, with very few potholes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I arrived at the store around 6:00 PM and was dismayed to find only one checkout lane open, with a queue of 8 people ahead of me and no signs of any additional lanes opening up.
Updating my previous review, I must say that before 8:00 AM, there are no checkouts open whatsoever (I'm unsure when they shut them down). Customers are required to use the self-checkout option, which may be suitable for a small purchase but not for a full cart of items. The process is extremely time-consuming, especially with the need to constantly look up items. It's apparent that this supermarket has significantly declined in quality over the past few years.
