The store itself is decent. However, the express delivery service, which comes at a cost of £8.5, was tardy. It's quite baffling to pay such a hefty price for delivery only for it to be delayed. Moreover, the absence of a refund option on their website is rather frustrating. Hence, I had to give them a 1-star review. I won't be returning to shop there until they rectify these issues.

I showed my Blue Light card for a cheeky 10% off after facing the Spanish Inquisition, only to be informed that I needed ID for the discount. Left feeling like a bit of a miscreant, really. It was a dreadful experience at the supermarket. The scales never seem to work properly. Today, one of the scales was missing labels, and a message on the screen instructed me to seek assistance. I did as advised, only to be told that since I was using a handset, I could scan items at the till instead. However, when we reached the till and scanned my mother's barcode, she was randomly selected for a quality check. Despite explaining that our items were mixed and I had already paid for mine, it was discovered that six out of her ten items had not been scanned. This is not the first time we have encountered issues with the handsets at this store.
To make matters worse, two older women approached us, claiming I had an aggressive attitude and threatening to call security. I patiently waited for security, but they never arrived. It seems the women had personal problems of their own. I was astonished to learn that I was banned from the store due to my supposed behavior. This is absurd! I vowed never to return to that supermarket again. They need to better train their staff, especially in customer service. I am even contemplating requesting to review the security footage to prove my innocence, as I felt my privacy was violated and I was falsely accused. Beware, you may encounter a similar situation and find yourself unfairly portrayed as the antagonist.

I've been in the car for 20 minutes past my click & collect slot waiting for my shopping. This kind of thing happens quite often at Livingston, which is why I hardly ever use this service there. I only received a notification about substitutes and out-of-stock items 20 minutes after my slot time. There were other cars also waiting. When I finally went into the store, every checkout was lined up down the aisles. I only choose this store when it's more convenient, but they always seem to prove that they are actually less convenient and unreliable. **Note for future reviewers: The phone number at the click and collect point was also unavailable. My collection ended up being over an hour late, and they only brought it out after I confronted them when they were bringing out another delivery. My arrival only showed up on the colleague's handheld device when he finally brought it out. Never again.

The number of employees at the tills has been dramatically reduced in recent weeks, even on Friday evenings at 7pm, which is hardly late night. There was only one till open and everyone was encouraged to use self-service, although not all of them were available. Please, ASDA, sort this out. I had to do my usual shopping elsewhere last week. I do wonder who the store staying open 24 hours is actually for, certainly not for the customers.

I had a rather unpleasant experience at the self-checkout on October 19th, 2024, at 9:13 pm (receipt time). I was purchasing a bottle of wine when I noticed a young lady with facial piercings wearing an ASDA uniform standing very close behind me, actually leaning on the self-checkout machine. I politely asked her to clear my security, to which she replied in a very dismissive manner, "That's not my job." I must say, her attitude was quite appalling. I can't help but wonder, is ASDA hiring individuals with such poor customer service skills? It's a shame to see ASDA's standards of customer care slipping like this.

Went shopping today, and as per usual, enjoyed the great selection of products. However, encountered a bit of a hiccup at the checkout. The lady working there seemed quite unhappy with her job, as she was overheard expressing her frustrations to a colleague. While I understand everyone can have off days, it's never pleasant to encounter rudeness for no apparent reason, especially when my son, who is autistic, was with me.
When I went to pay, the lady's demeanor didn't improve. We had a bag that had burst and needed to exchange an item. Instead of offering an exchange, she simply placed the leaking bag into an Asda bag and charged us for an extra bag instead. Quite a unique approach, if I do say so myself!
I left feeling rather disappointed with the way I was treated during this visit. If you're not happy in your job, it's best not to take out your frustrations on customers, especially families with special needs children. Perhaps a career change to a biscuit factory, mixing chocolate, would be a better fit!

The current situation is quite unsatisfactory - unless you happen to have your own mug or cup - there were no large mugs or paper cups available this morning (a dilemma if one craves a hefty dose of coffee) - spotted a grimy teacup (perhaps an issue with the dishwasher?) - inconsistent pricing - the staff appear rather unenthusiastic about their roles (granted, irritable customers don't make things easier) - it's a far cry from how things used to be - I guess the best solution would be to head over to Grieggs.

Long time no see, mate! Went to this massive supermarket the other day, a bit of a trek from me but worth it for a proper big shop. Took me ages to locate the everyday essentials aisle, and now they're messing about with the parking layout - gonna be a right headache, I reckon. While browsing the store, you'll come across a generous clothing section and a spacious household area stocked with bedding, candles, home decor items, and toys. They also house an in-store optician, which, in my opinion, isn't really worth it, along with an entertainment department. The food offerings, though varied, make up less than half of the store and could be improved. If you happen to order online from Asda and your delivery comes from this particular branch, don't get your hopes up for a smooth experience.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visits to the supermarket. I typically visit late at night on weekends, but this time I went on Saturday during the day. There were not many staff members present, and most of the shoppers were not wearing masks. I observed that no action was taken to enforce mask-wearing. On a previous visit last Friday around 5:30 am, I noticed that few staff members were wearing masks. While I personally do not enjoy wearing a mask, I prioritize my health and adhere to the guidelines.

My spouse and I went to the customer service desk to return an item, but there was no one there. We waited for about 5 minutes until a stout lady with a hump on her shoulder finally appeared. She was not even polite, and the smell of sweat was quite unpleasant. I believe Asda does sell deodorant - she might consider purchasing and using it.

Make sure to always double-check your receipt at this supermarket. I've been there twice for the juice deals and got charged more than I should have both times. Their explanation was that the promotion had ended and they simply hadn't taken down the signs yet.

The 2-hour parking limit simply isn't sufficient when heading to the supermarket with the family for a leisurely cafe visit and shopping spree. It's rather frustrating that one must trek a distance to find suitable parking just to enjoy a meal at the cafe. A more accommodating approach would be to provide complimentary parking for a minimum of 3 hours.

I must say, I am thoroughly disappointed by the experience I had with ASDA. I came across an advert for a microwave on sale for £29, marked down from £58. Excited about the deal, I checked if it was available in Livingston and it seemed to be in stock. Despite the amber weather warning, I made the journey, cash in hand, only to find the microwave still listed at full price in the store.
After seeking assistance from the staff, they were unable to locate the offer in their system. It was then escalated to Jason in customer services, who concluded that it must have been an online promotion. He suggested I make the purchase online through click and collect to secure the discounted price for the microwave I was standing next to. However, when I attempted to do so, it showed as out of stock online, despite there being two available right in front of me.
It's truly disheartening that ASDA advertised this product on sale but seemingly went to great lengths to prevent me from purchasing it. I am appalled by this experience. It's a shame, as I would have happily purchased the matching kettle at that price. I sincerely hope ASDA has a less than stellar Christmas.

Quite disappointing, considering it's a large store advertising round-the-clock shopping for all your needs. Can you believe you can't even purchase cigarettes from the kiosk past midnight?! I dashed to the store at 11:20 pm only to find out the kiosk was shut due to staffing issues. The selection of cigarettes available was extremely limited and they wouldn't even fetch the brand I smoke. I always thought the customer was supposed to be right! Well, clearly not when it comes to shopping at Asda. If they can't provide better service and listen to their customers, they might as well close shop early. Oh, wait, they sort of do - closing at 2 am. How is that considered 24/7 service? Sheesh!
