The crew is extremely friendly and accommodating, but it seems like they frequently run out of stock.
Betty Morales (28/07/2025, 08:37):
I gave my prescription on Tuesday and they said to pick it up on Thursday or Friday. I went on Friday afternoon and it wasn't ready. I will have to wait until Monday. This isn't the first time this has happened.
Patrick Phillips (27/07/2025, 17:04):
Great chemist with excellent staff and reasonable waiting times. Overall, a top-notch pharmacy! 😁
Daniel Edwards (26/07/2025, 13:24):
I recently had a test done at this pharmacy and I must say it was a fast and efficient process. Although I didn't get the name of the lady who conducted the test, she was incredibly friendly, professional, and compassionate throughout the entire experience.
Thomas Hernandez (24/07/2025, 01:27):
Thank you for assisting me today, it was greatly appreciated. The staff was so lovely and helpful.
Zachary Kim (23/07/2025, 01:56):
Decent prices but so-so service. There's always a line, and even when it's short (like just two folks), you end up waiting ages to settle the bill for your stuff. Plus, the cashier struggled to scan my items (2 packs of antacid tablets) and couldn't quite navigate the computer system, needing a coworker's help twice for those basic tasks. All in all, it took me a good ten minutes to check out.
Donna Perry (21/07/2025, 10:28):
The staff at this pharmacy are absolutely lovely, very helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. They provide great in-store minor health assistance.
Daniel Lopez (18/07/2025, 14:50):
I must say, this pharmacy in Edinburgh must be the absolute pits, mate. Their organisational skills are non-existent, and I have never experienced anything but hassle when dealing with them. I've decided to leave this review because I definitely won't be going back to endure such a horrendous service again. It's always a nightmare just trying to pick up my meds, often taking over 30 minutes each time. I lodged a complaint with the manager last week, but it seems like my feedback fell on deaf ears. I simply can't be bothered with a service like this anymore, it's just not worth the hassle. Cheers.
Emily Morales (17/07/2025, 16:57):
I transferred my repeat prescription from Boots to Dears and for 11 months, I have not had a successful collection. It took weeks to set up the repeat prescription, and I was not aware of the process involved. The staff at that time (2018-19) were unhelpful.

After changing jobs, I moved my prescription back to Boots where I had never encountered any issues during the 5 years prior and always received good customer service. On the contrary, Dears at Easter Road seems to lack leadership, understanding, and compassion. The store is disorganized with numerous prescriptions scattered around the floors behind the tills.

The blame always seems to fall on the surgery, but this has not been a satisfactory experience for me. Despite hearing about others who had better experiences, the service I received was subpar.
Randy Hayes (11/07/2025, 05:03):
Fantastic neighborhood pharmacy, meeting all your prescription requirements and much more. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Charles Cooper (09/07/2025, 15:22):
I had a rather unpleasant experience at the pharmacy recently. After waiting for an hour to receive my winter flu jab, I inquired about the wait time as there were others with appointments after us. The pharmacist's response was quite off-putting, stating that she was doing us a favor by administering the vaccine if our GP was not providing it.

Her tone and choice of words were extremely rude. She appeared to lack helpfulness and customer service skills. Overall, I would rate her behavior as 0 out of 5 stars.
Isabella Ross (09/07/2025, 15:06):
This pharmacy has been quite a disappointment to me several times, failing to handle prescriptions and neglecting to respond to my messages. Despite appearing to have a sizable workforce, the service is consistently sluggish and the staff is lacking in helpfulness and empathy when issues arise. I’m only awarding 2 stars due to the quality of their travel vaccination services.
Justin Lopez (07/07/2025, 22:11):
I am a recovered addict on a maintenance prescription which helps me stay on track. My previous pharmacy was not a welcoming place for me. I felt constantly judged and alienated there. Once, in a crowded store, the pharmacist loudly announced my medication and told me to wait in public as the private room was occupied. This made me feel like an outcast, and it was a daily struggle.

Thankfully, I discovered Dear's Pharmacy on Easter Road, and it has been a complete turnaround. The staff at Dear's are kind, supportive, and treat everyone with respect, regardless of their condition. They take the time to build a relationship with you, creating a sense of trust that is invaluable in such a setting. Here's how they stand out:

Discretion: The pharmacist, Laura, is incredibly discreet. She handles even sensitive prescriptions with the utmost confidentiality. You can trust that your privacy will be respected at all times.
Attitude/Service: The staff at Dear's are friendly, helpful, and respectful to all customers. Unlike some pharmacies that may not take addicts seriously, Dear's treats everyone with dignity. They go out of their way to assist you and make you feel welcome. If you're looking for a specific product, they will do their best to find it for you.
Judgment-Free Zone: I have never felt judged for my past struggles or my current prescription at Dear's. In contrast, my previous pharmacy made me feel like a second-class citizen. At Dear's, I am greeted warmly and my prescriptions are promptly attended to.
Reliability: Dear's Pharmacy is dependable and proactive in addressing any issues that may arise. They keep track of your prescriptions and inform you in advance if you need a refill. The pharmacist, Laura, is compassionate and will help you navigate any challenges you may face with your medication.
I have relocated to another part of town, but I continue to use Dear's because of the exceptional level of care and service they provide. Whether you need assistance with minor ailments, repeat prescriptions, or opiate replacement therapy, I highly recommend Dear's Pharmacy. It may be a bit out of your way, but once you experience their top-notch service, you'll find it well worth the journey.

Many thanks to the team at Dear's for their ongoing support and understanding.
Denise Thompson (06/07/2025, 05:18):
Quick and effective flu shot. No fuss, no muss.
Julie Phillips (06/07/2025, 04:35):
My partner keeps getting the same prescriptions every two weeks, and without fail, they mess it up every single time. No matter how many hours he spends on the phone checking everything the week before, they always make a mistake. It's causing serious health issues for him and he's even had to miss work because of this pharmacy. We're seriously considering switching to a different pharmacy.
Michelle Rodriguez (05/07/2025, 22:22):
I would recommend steering clear if you can. I asked to have a chat with a pharmacist on three separate occasions, only to be directed to buy a completely inappropriate product from the shelves. It took some persistence, but I finally managed to have a conversation with a pharmacist, who once again suggested that I purchase a cream instead of offering it as a prescription, which was the correct course of action. It took me insisting four times to finally receive the prescription that I should have been given from the start. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Wayne Lee (03/07/2025, 19:31):
Terrible customer service. Would recommend avoiding! Suggest using Sainsbury's as an alternative.
Raymond Miller (03/07/2025, 04:45):
This place is my go-to spot. The service is top-notch, absolutely fantastic. It used to be dreadful a few years back, but the recent changes in management or whatever they did have turned it into something spectacular. I couldn't be more pleased with them now.
Adam Cooper (02/07/2025, 04:41):
I arrived to organize a recurring prescription, armed with instructions from my GP. Upon entering the pharmacy, I noticed a queue forming, so I patiently waited my turn. The woman assisting customers was currently aiding an elderly lady and appeared courteous and perhaps new to the role. Meanwhile, three individuals towards the back of the pharmacy were idly chatting and laughing, occasionally glancing at the queue but making no effort to assist. I found myself waiting for a significant 15 minutes.

Finally, when it was my turn, the attendant had to consult the head pharmacist for assistance, who reluctantly came over.

She displayed a discourteous and unhelpful demeanor, giving off the impression that she simply wanted me gone. She insisted that the information provided by my GP was incorrect and advised me to contact the doctor's office to resolve the matter. This being my first time dealing with a recurring prescription, her condescending tone and lack of empathy left me feeling dismayed.

I promptly left, clearly expressing my dissatisfaction with the service received. Subsequently, I contacted the GP, who expressed confusion about the pharmacist's objections to the procedure and promptly arranged for my prescription to be handled by Lindsay and Gilmore instead.

I would not recommend this pharmacy and have no intentions of returning.
Kelly Barnes (01/07/2025, 22:33):
I recently had a COVID test at this place and I must say, the staff were absolutely lovely and very gentle.
