Morrisons Supermarket in Glasgow: A Mixed Experience

Visiting the Morrisons supermarket in Glasgow can lead to varied experiences. While some customers appreciate the wide offerings of fresh produce and unique amenities, others express dissatisfaction regarding stock availability and customer service. Let's delve into the details.

Accessibility Features

The store is designed with wheelchair-accessible entrances and a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for all customers to navigate. Additionally, there are reports of a wheelchair-accessible toilet, which is a considerate feature for those who need it.

Shopping Environment

Unfortunately, many customers have noted that the aisles can be crowded, especially during peak hours. Some shoppers report having difficulty accessing products due to staff stocking shelves, leading to a chaotic shopping experience. Comments like "most of the shelves reminisce of a zombie apocalypse movie" reflect this sentiment. The continual presence of empty crates and abandoned boxes further adds to the disarray.

Payments and Service Options

Morrisons accepts various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and even NFC mobile payments. However, several reviews indicate long queues at checkout, particularly when only self-service options are available. The lack of staffed checkouts often leads to frustration among customers, especially those with mobility issues or sensory sensitivities.

Food Quality and Offerings

On a positive note, many customers cite the quality of the produce as a highlight. The store offers a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, a bakery with great items, and even a salad bar that has garnered positive reviews. However, consistent complaints arise about the availability of certain lines, with claims of frequent stockouts on popular items. One shopper mentioned the desire for specific packaged items that remain elusive.

Community Engagement and Inclusivity

Morrisons aims to create an inclusive environment, earning praise for being LGBTQ+ friendly and providing a transgender safe space. This effort contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Delivery and Pick-Up Options

For those who prefer less exposure in-store, Morrisons offers no-contact delivery and in-store pick-up options. However, feedback indicates that the coordination for these services may need improvement, with reports of delays and poor communication.

Recycling and Environmental Considerations

The store has made strides towards environmental responsibility, offering recycling options for plastic bags and encouraging sustainable practices. However, some customers wish the store would enhance its efforts in this area.

Conclusion

In summary, while Morrisons in Glasgow provides a range of quality food options and features aimed at accessibility, significant improvements are needed in customer service and stock management to elevate the shopping experience. Regular shoppers express hope for enhanced service and more reliable stocking systems in the near future.

What a dreadful supermarket - the vegetables are subpar, shelves are frequently bare. However, if one were to venture a few miles down the road to Sainsbury's, the contrast is striking - well-stocked and excellent quality, with a wide range of options. Morrisons has certainly taken a turn for the worse in recent years. I shall not be patronizing them any longer, except perhaps for minor conveniences. To the manager - get your act together!

The Click and Collect experience was quite disappointing I must say. I didn't receive any text or email beforehand providing the necessary link to notify them of my arrival for them to bring the order to my car. Instead, I had to go into the store and have a rather frustrating conversation with three very unwilling staff members before finally getting the problem sorted out. The customer service left much to be desired, to be honest.

What a charming local supermarket! The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, always going above and beyond to assist customers. Today, on a snowy day, they took care of me and my five little ones, even providing a complimentary meal for the kids. Huge gratitude to Peter and the team for their exceptional service!
Michael Long (16/08/2025, 18:52):
The food was absolutely scrumptious, especially the delightful fish and chips. I also adore Nutmeg clothing for myself and cute outfits for my grandchildren. However, I find food shopping to be quite pricey these days. I miss the good old BOGOF deals that allowed us to donate more to food charities.
Carol Gutierrez (15/08/2025, 21:49):
The staff here are quite friendly and the store is definitely worth having a little browse around.

Anticipated sizable Morrison's store boasts delightful features like a cake shop section, daily pizza offerings at the salad bar. The clothing area and cafe are charming, and they've extended the shorefront for an expanded specials section. The restroom facilities are decent, with ample parking spaces albeit a tad cramped. The parent and child, disabled, and pick up areas are satisfactory. While there isn't anything particularly outstanding about this store compared to other Morrison's, its proximity to a Hungry Horse establishment is quite convenient.

I recently enjoyed a full English breakfast along with a delicious cup of coffee at the Morrisons cafe. The ordering and payment process was simple and hassle-free. The Covid check-in was a breeze, and the staff were incredibly helpful. My food arrived promptly and tasted absolutely fantastic.

The prices at the local supermarket seem to be playing a game of cat and mouse, with fuel prices mysteriously rising overnight or every couple of days. I popped in yesterday, Wednesday 2nd November, to grab some fireworks, only to find the counter closed. A staff member informed me that it wouldn't reopen until midday due to some vague "law." However, I later discovered that Lidl and Aldi had their firework counters open with clear notices at the till stating that fireworks could be purchased during store opening hours. It seems like Morrisons is marching to the beat of their own drum when it comes to these rules.

Gorgeous Morrisons shop, well-lit and spick-and-span with an abundance of options. Enormous car park usually teeming with spots, making parking a breeze. The bakery is top-notch, especially towards closing time when they slash prices on many goodies, allowing you to snag a steal.
Danielle Jordan (02/08/2025, 04:10):
There's this one lady at the customer service desk who never seems to grasp the concept of customer service. She gives off the impression that you're bothering her just by trying to make a purchase. No greetings, no smiles, not a single word spoken - she just stares at you with a look that says "what do you want?" and completes the transaction without any interaction, not even telling you the price or saying thank you. It's always a relief when she's not the one assisting customers. Additionally, there's typically a long line at that counter with only one register open. Most of the staff are busy restocking shelves, making it difficult for customers to reach products easily. Overall, the shopping experience at this store is far from pleasant.
Lauren Lewis (01/08/2025, 20:37):
Typically, the quality of the food at the café is outstanding. However, today we encountered a slight hiccup where a portion of breakfast was forgotten and the child's meal wasn't complimentary despite the adult meal exceeding £4.50.
Christian Gutierrez (01/08/2025, 05:02):
I quite fancy the grub from Sainsbury's, but at least their car park is a piece of cake to navigate in and out of.
Katherine Martinez (31/07/2025, 15:17):
Coffee critique. The breakfast was absolutely top-notch! I happened to be in the area and decided to have breakfast here on the afternoon of Saturday, December 2nd, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed.
Richard Jordan (30/07/2025, 19:49):
Whenever I visit, the staff at Supermarket are often quite indifferent and unhelpful. It's clear they could benefit from some customer service training. I will say, however, that this issue seems to mainly affect the older staff members. The younger employees are friendly and accommodating. Despite living close to Lindsayfield Morrisons, I actually prefer driving a bit farther to Stewartfield for a more pleasant shopping experience.
George Morales (30/07/2025, 14:15):
The store had lovely spacious aisles. I popped in during a bustling late afternoon and was pleased to find all the gluten-free products I needed from their wide selection.
Vincent Evans (29/07/2025, 23:57):
Plenty of space for parking, but the behavior of some folks leaving much to be desired. Popped in for a sandwich at lunchtime, the £3 meal deal was satisfactory. Fuel prices were competitive for both petrol and diesel. The disabled access seemed well organized. One-way system in place at the entrance and exit with ample sanitizing stations available.
Bobby Carter (28/07/2025, 19:44):
The internet and phone signal are absolutely rubbish, availability is atrocious after 5pm.
Christine Rodriguez (28/07/2025, 17:08):
I ain't from around here, but I popped into this store and let me tell you, I won't be coming back. The place was a mess, with a chaotic atmosphere, and the staff? Well, they were just plain rude. One lady (if you can even call her that) was downright nasty to us.
Eugene Howard (27/07/2025, 06:10):
This Supermarket ain't me usual haunt, but it's close to one of me workplaces so I swing by for a quick shop on a Sunday evening. It's alright, pretty much like the rest, but I've noticed they're often low on stock when I drop in.
Margaret Baker (26/07/2025, 09:10):
The store was bustling with customers, but there were plenty of staff members restocking the shelves and ready to assist if you couldn't locate an item. I was able to find everything on my list, and despite some queues at the checkouts, each one was open and operating efficiently. Kudos to the store for being well-staffed and organized. My heart goes out to the young man in the car park who was directing traffic in the pouring rain and strong winds at around 11 a.m. at Lindsay Field. He held up a sign that read "spaces here," which was quite commendable given the challenging weather conditions.
