Morrisons Supermarket in Inverurie: A Review

Morrisons, located in Inverurie, has seen significant improvements over the past few months. This supermarket may not be large, but it is well-maintained and stocked with a decent selection of products, making it worth a quick visit.

Accessibility and Amenities

The supermarket features wheelchair-accessible entrances and a wheelchair-accessible toilet, ensuring that everyone can navigate the store comfortably. Additionally, there is a free parking lot, which is rarely crowded, making it easy to find a spot when you need to pop in for groceries.

Shopping Experience

Customers appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the store. The toilets are kept clean, and the store layout makes it easy to locate items. With friendly staff available to assist shoppers, many feel welcomed and supported during their shopping trips. Morrisons offers several service options, including in-store pick-up and various payment methods, such as credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for convenience. For those who prefer no-contact delivery, Morrisons provides an option to order items via apps like Uber Eats, although some have reported issues with delivery reliability.

Food Offerings and Café

One of the highlights of Morrisons is its selection of great produce. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and quality meats are consistently praised by customers. However, some feedback has pointed out that while the overall food offerings are impressive, the in-store café could use improvement. Mixed reviews on the café experience indicate that while some enjoy the meals offered, others have faced delays and issues with food preparation. In particular, the café's service has received attention for both its positives and negatives. Staff members are often noted for their kindness and willingness to help, yet there seem to be staffing shortages at peak times, leading to slower service.

Community and Inclusivity

Morrisons in Inverurie takes pride in being LGBTQ+ friendly and creating a transgender safe space. This commitment is highlighted through their friendly staff and efforts to make everyone feel welcomed. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding staff attitudes, noting inconsistencies in hospitality during busy periods.

Recycling and Sustainability

For environmentally conscious shoppers, Morrisons provides facilities for recycling glass bottles, contributing to sustainable practices within the community. They also offer initiatives like wonky bags of vegetables, providing affordable options while reducing food waste.

Conclusion

Overall, Morrisons in Inverurie stands out for its accessibility, diverse offerings, and a strong commitment to customer service. While there are areas for improvement, especially regarding the café and staffing during peak hours, the supermarket remains a valuable asset to the community. Whether you're looking for fresh produce, a quick meal, or simply a place to do your grocery shopping, Morrisons offers a reliable and friendly environment to meet your needs.

We found everything we were looking for, the staff was super friendly and really helpful.

At Morrison Super Store, I found everything I needed.
Carol Campbell (22/07/2025, 13:48):
I must say, I had a rather odd encounter with a peculiar lady at 'the oven' on Market Street. She insisted that I could only purchase 8 of any item. Can you imagine? I simply wanted to buy four chicken wings, but she wouldn't allow it! Surely, pricing shouldn't be so rigid. It's quite baffling that in a supposedly 'sustainable' store, I'm being forced to waste food just to comply with her rules.

Great shop. The staff are really friendly. There's a restaurant that's always busy with customers. They have fresh produce, a butcher and deli in the store, as well as food counters. The toilets are clean and seem to have been recently renovated. The fresh produce, whether it's fruits and vegetables, meats, or bakery items, are definitely the standout of this store and offer a great variety of high-quality products. They also have good deals on other items. There's a big car park and even a petrol station available.
Adam Watson (20/07/2025, 17:17):
Properly stocked with a fine range of items. The wine and beer options are top-notch and their fresh produce is always a wise purchase.

The staff at Morrisons in Inverurie were absolutely amazing, they couldn't have been more helpful. Very friendly and welcoming. Big shoutout to Michelle, the Community Champion, she does an excellent job. Thank you so much!
Eugene Kim (19/07/2025, 13:11):
A full English breakfast for just £6 is an absolute steal! It's delicious and even comes with toast. The service is always speedy as well.
Lawrence Gomez (16/07/2025, 11:34):
I must say, it was quite a disappointing experience dealing with the three staff members when we requested our order. We ordered a sausage roll and received a roll with a dry, overcooked sausage on it. The cappuccino was lukewarm at best, but the cake was pleasant. The mess scattered across the floors was simply unacceptable. Overall, I have no intentions of returning to this place.
Andrew Brown (16/07/2025, 07:27):
I must say, the vegan lasagna was quite disappointing as it remained frozen in the middle. And to top it off, they were out of hot chocolate today. Such a shame, as they usually do a great job here at the supermarket.
Brittany Cox (12/07/2025, 22:28):
I recently visited the Inveruie store, and I must say the cafe was quite disappointing. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, my latte arrived cold. To top it off, the chef recklessly handled the food by adding chips with her bare hands and even checked their temperature by touching them directly. This experience left me unimpressed, especially considering I waited over 30 minutes for my food.
Patricia Lee (11/07/2025, 23:27):
The main reason we popped by was for a bite at the café. The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming. The grub was top-notch, much better than what you'd find at other supermarkets. We'll definitely swing by again sometime.
Jeffrey Stewart (11/07/2025, 15:48):
The staff were terribly rude, quite unfriendly, and gave off the impression that they really aren't keen on working at the store. It was rather disappointing. I typically adore Morrison's, but recently, both the shopping and café experiences have been quite rubbish.
Melissa Russell (11/07/2025, 08:34):
Quite good, but I did come across a fair few pricey items.
Peter Ross (10/07/2025, 18:12):
The hot food selection at Supermarket is top-notch, with a diverse menu that includes options for both adults and kids. It's a bustling place, especially during peak times like the morning rush for coffee, the busy lunch hour, and afternoon tea. They also offer special meal deals, like after-school discounts for kids dining with adults or group discounts for four adults dining together.
Roy Long (09/07/2025, 06:00):
Always a delightful experience, I always make sure to purchase a food bank donation bag.
Evelyn Roberts (09/07/2025, 02:28):
Visited the supermarket for a quick bite, but I must say it was quite disappointing. We had to stand at the checkout for a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, while the staff seemed to avoid making eye contact. Then, on top of that, we were asked to provide proof of our Covid sign-in. The coffee was served cold, and by the time our food arrived – a whole 15 minutes later – it was even colder. The place wasn't even that busy, so there's really no excuse for such poor service. Overall, not a great experience at Morrisons.
Arthur Gonzalez (06/07/2025, 14:01):
I popped into Morrisons on the 23rd of December for some last-minute Christmas dinner shopping. Originally, I had planned to head to Tesco, but couldn't find a parking spot.

Fortunately, Morrisons had plenty of parking spaces available and almost everything on our list, except for icing sugar. The store had a great selection of products and the shelves were constantly being restocked by the helpful staff.

We needed assistance finding a few items, and each time we asked, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Despite these minor hiccups, the store layout was well-organized, making it easy to locate everything we needed.

The checkout staff were also very friendly, engaging in pleasant conversation while efficiently scanning our items and even offering to help pack our groceries.

Overall, it was a positive shopping experience at Morrisons. The prices were reasonable, and the convenience of ample parking, even on the day before Christmas Eve, made our trip stress-free.
Zachary Young (06/07/2025, 13:05):
Some items are decently priced, just need to keep an eye on prices at other stores to snag some deals. Parking is convenient and there are plenty of carts available. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Louis Perez (06/07/2025, 02:14):
I've always had a jolly good time shopping at Morriston. Although, it must be said, that some of the chaps and chapesses on the staff are more helpful and friendly than others. Cheers!
Virginia Richardson (01/07/2025, 03:37):
They absolutely should consider assigning a dedicated staff member to the cigarette counter. It's always such a hassle having to wait forever for assistance at the self-service checkout because they have their employees juggling between the cigarette counter and self-checkout. While Morrisons is nearer to me, I've actually switched to Tesco because of this issue.
