Morrisons Supermarket in Inverurie: A Review

Morrisons, located in Inverurie, has seen significant improvements over the past few months. This supermarket may not be large, but it is well-maintained and stocked with a decent selection of products, making it worth a quick visit.

Accessibility and Amenities

The supermarket features wheelchair-accessible entrances and a wheelchair-accessible toilet, ensuring that everyone can navigate the store comfortably. Additionally, there is a free parking lot, which is rarely crowded, making it easy to find a spot when you need to pop in for groceries.

Shopping Experience

Customers appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the store. The toilets are kept clean, and the store layout makes it easy to locate items. With friendly staff available to assist shoppers, many feel welcomed and supported during their shopping trips. Morrisons offers several service options, including in-store pick-up and various payment methods, such as credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for convenience. For those who prefer no-contact delivery, Morrisons provides an option to order items via apps like Uber Eats, although some have reported issues with delivery reliability.

Food Offerings and Café

One of the highlights of Morrisons is its selection of great produce. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and quality meats are consistently praised by customers. However, some feedback has pointed out that while the overall food offerings are impressive, the in-store café could use improvement. Mixed reviews on the café experience indicate that while some enjoy the meals offered, others have faced delays and issues with food preparation. In particular, the café's service has received attention for both its positives and negatives. Staff members are often noted for their kindness and willingness to help, yet there seem to be staffing shortages at peak times, leading to slower service.

Community and Inclusivity

Morrisons in Inverurie takes pride in being LGBTQ+ friendly and creating a transgender safe space. This commitment is highlighted through their friendly staff and efforts to make everyone feel welcomed. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding staff attitudes, noting inconsistencies in hospitality during busy periods.

Recycling and Sustainability

For environmentally conscious shoppers, Morrisons provides facilities for recycling glass bottles, contributing to sustainable practices within the community. They also offer initiatives like wonky bags of vegetables, providing affordable options while reducing food waste.

Conclusion

Overall, Morrisons in Inverurie stands out for its accessibility, diverse offerings, and a strong commitment to customer service. While there are areas for improvement, especially regarding the café and staffing during peak hours, the supermarket remains a valuable asset to the community. Whether you're looking for fresh produce, a quick meal, or simply a place to do your grocery shopping, Morrisons offers a reliable and friendly environment to meet your needs.

It's definitely less crowded here compared to some other supermarkets, which is great if you're in a hurry and just want to get your shopping done quickly.
Marilyn Morales (09/09/2025, 04:13):
The prices are still too high. My partner and I had breakfast for £10. Honestly, it looked cheap and tasted cheap. I wouldn't recommend it.

Upon my initial visit, I did find this establishment to be slightly pricier compared to my usual supermarket. However, the quality of the products was commendable, with certain items available at competitive prices. The layout was well-organized, making it easy to locate specific items. If I happen to be in the vicinity once more, I would certainly consider revisiting this store.

I had a breakfast on Sunday while visiting family. It was quite bustling, but the place was well organized. The manager called in extra staff, and all customers were served quickly. The food was excellent! The avocado toast was spot on! The kids' fish fingers were very fresh and tasty too!
Kenneth Reynolds (03/09/2025, 13:22):
This place has really come along in the past few months, it was about time! The shelves are now fully stocked and organized. However, the cafe could use some improvement. On a positive note, the toilets were spotless.

I must say, I was rather let down by my recent visit to the supermarket for lunch on April 17th. By the time I arrived at 12:30, most of the food items were already sold out, leaving only the option of a cooked breakfast. To my dismay, the bacon was incredibly tough and nearly inedible, the eggs were rubbery, and the only saving grace was the slice of toast. When I brought up my concerns, I was simply informed that they had been busy and this was all that remained. Needless to say, I won't be returning anytime soon.

Stopped by on my way to Aberdeen. Was hoping to find some clothes, but they only had a limited choice of baby clothes. I was let down as I really adore the Nutmeg collection, and sadly it's no longer available online.

I use this supermarket for my regular café bits & bobs shopping needs, as well as parking, petrol station, and restroom facilities. (Update) It seems there have been some changes in the staff recently, and the quality of service at the café now depends on who is working. Lately, I've noticed that the coffee machine only fills cups halfway (see photo), some staff members can be impolite and chatty among themselves, resulting in slow service. Additionally, it appears that the supplier for certain products has changed, and the taste is not as good as it used to be. It's a bit hit or miss lately.
Tyler Jenkins (28/08/2025, 18:21):
The supermarket was well stocked and organized. It was quite busy on a Friday, but the checkout lines were not too long. The staff at the checkout and customer service desk were very helpful.
Donald Thompson (26/08/2025, 16:06):
I've recently moved to Inverurie and was delighted to discover that I could find almost everything I needed at the Supermarket, except for my beloved summer drink Ayran/Lassi. The store is well-stocked with fresh produce and has ample parking space, making it convenient for shopping.
Dylan Cook (23/08/2025, 20:19):
Having breakfast at the Morrisons café was absolutely smashing, I must say! Norma really went above and beyond to deliver top-notch service. Despite the menu not quite matching up with what was available in the kitchen, Norma graciously catered to my fiancée and me. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Morrisons café and I'll certainly be back, all thanks to Norma's exceptional service. Cheers!

I went to Morrisons in Inverurie on Friday, 2nd October. I was standing in line for the cash registers when I was instructed to move to till number 2. As I stood there, the same woman who had directed me to till 2 shouted at me in front of all the customers, with everyone looking as if I had done something wrong. She told me to go back to the line where you were supposed to queue for the till. I approached her and explained that I did queue properly and that she had told me to go to till number 2. She did apologize, but there was no need to speak to people in that manner so that the whole store could hear.
Adam Kelly (21/08/2025, 07:09):
What a lovely blend of art and delightful, attentive service! I was thrilled to see the new Georgina McMaster prints they've recently acquired – I have no doubt these stunning pieces will be flying off the shelves. Perfect for a beautiful Christmas gift if you're in need of some inspiration!
Billy Morales (19/08/2025, 01:26):
I found myself waiting forever in a queue, only to be informed upon reaching the front that I could transfer my items from the trolley to a basket and use the self-checkout. When I inquired if there was a line for that, I was told there wasn't. However, upon reaching the self-checkout, I was informed that I would indeed need to join a queue. As a person with disabilities, the long wait and standing in line had already caused me a great deal of pain. Having to walk all the way back to join another queue would have been too much. I ultimately decided to leave the store without my purchases and will not be returning.
Sean Stewart (18/08/2025, 01:13):
I popped into the store this morning looking for PG tips tea granules, but alas, the shelf was bare. I approached a lovely lady who had just come out of the storeroom and inquired about when they might be restocking. She informed me that more might be arriving by tomorrow. No worries, I shall return then. As I carried on with my shopping, to my surprise, the same kind lady appeared with not just one, but six jars of the tea I was searching for. Now that's what I call excellent customer service and top-notch staff! 👏👏👏
Gabriel Mitchell (16/08/2025, 08:10):
I must say, the shopping space is quite clean and bright, with a wide selection of fresh and frozen foods to choose from.
Peter Myers (10/08/2025, 18:40):
Convenient parking - delicious cuisine at affordable rates
Karen Thompson (06/08/2025, 03:45):
I popped into the supermarket just to grab a plastic bowl for my pup's water since I forgot to bring it in the car. But guess what? I ended up splurging £150 on Christmas fare and some drinks. Now my car is packed to the brim, but I'm over the moon with my finds and the great deals. 5 stars from me!
Cheryl Rodriguez (06/08/2025, 00:16):
This place is far superior to Tesco, mate.
Brittany Richardson (05/08/2025, 13:11):
Great variety and ample options for a week's worth of groceries. This will now be our go-to spot for our weekly shopping. Came all the way from Banff.
