I don’t blame the staff at this pharmacy, they are clearly understaffed for the number of doctors utilizing their services. In my recent experience, my wife submitted her request about 2 weeks in advance on the 12th of February. When I went to collect it after the two weeks, I was informed that it wasn’t ready yet and was asked to come back on Friday the 24th, even though the lady had the prescription in her hand at that time. So, I returned on Friday the 3rd of March (yesterday), only to be questioned (after a long wait) about when the request was made. I provided the previous details, including the fact that I saw the prescription with the lady on the 24th. Despite this, another lengthy wait followed as they searched for it. Eventually, they returned with the prescription, stating it wasn’t ready and they were preparing it now, asking me to wait. It is evident that the management at this establishment needs to address the situation promptly, or else the overworked staff may risk losing their jobs due to patients not receiving their prescriptions on time.
Theresa Ross (13/06/2025, 17:58):
The staff at this pharmacy are truly top-notch, especially considering how busy they are. While the wait times can be a bit unpredictable due to the high volume of customers, I have generally been attended to promptly and with a pleasant demeanor.
Donald Richardson (12/06/2025, 15:55):
Well, I must say, that chemist is an absolute disaster. My heart goes out to the ladies working there. It seems like the managers are really putting the pressure on these poor girls. It's the managers who should be given the boot, not the staff. The chemist is way too small to keep up with prescriptions from three different surgeries at Kingsgate. Lloyds should definitely lose their contract with Kingsgate, and a more efficient chemist should take over. They are completely hopeless and it's time for them to be kicked to the curb.
Edward King (12/06/2025, 02:13):
What a shame! This pharmacy is a disaster. The opening hours are all over the place, never consistent. I've tried three times to pick up my prescription, only to find them closed when they should be open. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this place.
Martha Morales (12/06/2025, 00:36):
Since the arrival of Covid, things have taken a turn for the worse at this pharmacy. The staff seem overwhelmed and are constantly leaving, and there have been instances where medications are not readily available.
Mark Hall (10/06/2025, 03:06):
They always seem to mess up my prescription!
Angela Kim (07/06/2025, 00:42):
Shameful behavior from a pharmacy claiming to be affiliated with the NHS or any partner. Their actions are completely unacceptable - at best, they display incompetence; at worst, they are downright despicable. Leaving customers waiting outside in the cold while they leisurely sip coffee indoors, only to begrudgingly open their doors after the scheduled time and inform you that they are closed for the day. No signage to alert those who have patiently queued, and a snarky response to legitimate inquiries about why a supposedly broken door miraculously functions for staff but not for patrons. If they have any sense of responsibility towards their community's well-being, it certainly doesn't show. People visit pharmacies for crucial medication, not simply for convenience.

Lloyds Pharmacy at Bathgate Primary Care Centre is a bustling hub of activity. The team is top-notch, always ready to assist with any issues that may arise. I am truly impressed by their efficiency in filling prescriptions, considering the large number of patients they serve!
Juan Coleman (01/06/2025, 21:15):
It is quite a challenge, mate, to put into words just how dreadful the service is at this pharmacy. From waiting a fortnight for a basic prescription to an excessively burdened and understaffed crew, enduring lengthy lines out the door only to discover that prescriptions lingering for weeks will take another hour to be sorted. I reckon it's fair to say that this specific branch poses a risk to both their patrons and employees in regards to the speed and accuracy of their prescription service. Steer clear of this spot by all means possible.
Lauren Jenkins (31/05/2025, 02:31):
The staff is fantastic, although they can get pretty busy, and you may have to wait a bit for your prescriptions.
Rebecca Sanders (29/05/2025, 07:27):
This pharmacy is an absolute disaster. I placed an order for a prescription 8 days ago and they still haven't sorted it out. When I inquire about it, all they can say is the same old "when did you submit it?" followed by a suggestion to try another pharmacy. They never take responsibility, run things poorly, and have a total lack of concern. The one time they actually used their text ready service, I still had to wait when I got there to pick it up. It's a complete circus in that chemist. There's no visible manager, no clear direction, the staff seem completely uninterested, and they're clearly used to disappointing customers constantly. The pharmacy is plastered with posters making excuses like "due to blah blah, we can't blah blah." Avoid this place if you can, there must be a better service out there... It's really not too much to ask for.
Allison Gonzales (28/05/2025, 21:18):
Terrible service. Medications are never ready on time. I've wasted trips multiple times. The doctor's office is not helpful either. They don't seem to care. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
Larry Gonzales (25/05/2025, 07:44):
I was not pleased with the service I received. I simply requested medicine for my constipated son, but the staff seemed hesitant to provide me with the medication. Despite my background as a nurse, they continued to offer advice on increasing water, vegetables, and fruit intake. I did not require advice; I needed the necessary medication for my son's constipation. I sincerely hope that if I were to return to this pharmacy for an asthma emergency, they would not advise me to simply have my son breathe more. I was quite appalled by the service. In contrast, when I visited another pharmacy in Bathgate and made the same request, the staff inquired about my son's age and promptly recommended suitable medication. I couldn't understand why the first pharmacy was not as accommodating. Truly baffling.
Sarah Miller (24/05/2025, 06:03):
I popped over to the chemist this evening at 5.48pm and would you believe it, the shop was already shut tight! Their opening hours clearly stated they were open until 6pm. What a bloomin' nuisance, I tell ya.
Barbara Gutierrez (22/05/2025, 22:23):
Outstanding customer service, constantly eager to assist their clients.
Timothy Parker (22/05/2025, 18:22):
This pharmacy be the worst I've ever encountered!
George Morales (20/05/2025, 11:37):
Considering this branch is situated near three medical practices, one would think that the staff would recognize that most of their clients are unwell, feeling under the weather, and simply there to pick up their medications as quickly as possible. I trust that the employee who was needlessly impolite when assisting me doesn't seek empathy or understanding when she herself is feeling unwell. Additionally, it's puzzling why there are no seating arrangements available, especially considering the extended waiting times even though prescriptions have been ready for over a week.
Gloria Myers (19/05/2025, 09:56):
I would give no stars if I could.
Evelyn Reed (14/05/2025, 04:52):
Simply dreadful customer service, the website indicates opening hours as 8am during the week. However, upon visiting the pharmacy, I was brusquely informed that they wouldn't open until 9:30am. The attitude displayed was disgraceful. It's no surprise they have a poor reputation. This pharmacy used to be exceptional...
Keith White (13/05/2025, 07:22):
You always have to wait for 30 minutes to over an hour. At Boots, you can get your prescribed medications in just a few minutes.
