However, the experience can significantly vary based on factors such as staffing and management. Below, we delve into key aspects of LloydsPharmacy's offerings and customer feedback.

Payment Options

At LloydsPharmacy, customers can utilize NFC mobile payments, debit cards, and credit cards to streamline their transactions. The flexibility in payment methods helps ease the checkout process amidst busy environments.

Service Options and Accessibility

The pharmacy provides multiple service options, including in-store shopping and in-store pick-up. The pharmacy is also equipped with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that all patients can access their needed services.

Community and Inclusivity

Customer Experiences: The Mixed Bag

Feedback from customers at LloydsPharmacy has been overwhelmingly mixed. While some patients appreciate the friendly service and dedication of staff to locate medications during shortages, others report significant inconveniences:

  • Positive Feedback: Some customers note that the staff are helpful and go out of their way to order medications from different suppliers, showcasing a commendable commitment to patient care.
  • Negative Feedback: Conversely, many customers express dissatisfaction due to long queues, understaffing, and delays in prescription fulfillment, with some waiting over an hour for their meds.

One customer recalled a particularly frustrating incident involving a prescription ordered two weeks prior, which still had not been filled. Another customer reported being met with rudeness from staff, emphasizing the need for improved customer service training.

Conclusion

Eugene Hamilton (13/05/2025, 06:19):
Currently, the pharmacy is not up to par and should not be accepting prescriptions from doctors. I now take mine to Blackburn Pharmacy and am served within 10 minutes. I recommend avoiding this pharmacy until they resolve whatever issues they are facing. I have also noticed staff at Blackburn Pharmacy who used to work at Lloyds.
Barbara Cruz (12/05/2025, 11:31):
I would have to rate this establishment with zero stars if it were possible! There never seems to be enough employees working, resulting in consistently long lines. They often struggle to fill prescriptions in a timely manner. Today, my doctor sent my prescription directly to the pharmacy two days ago, and it still hasn't been prepared. Instead of being able to simply pick it up, I am now forced to wait yet again!
Walter Phillips (11/05/2025, 12:54):
Absolutely dreadful! I've been queuing for what feels like hours, only to find out that they close up shop early or don't even open when they say they will. And don't get me started on how long it takes to get a prescription filled - over a week sometimes! It's been like this for weeks now, and it seems like the management just couldn't care less. Do they have any intention of fixing this mess?
Debra Cruz (10/05/2025, 15:34):
So, they only gave me half of my prescription and when I tried to pick up the rest, they were closed for an hour on Friday and completely shut on Saturday (11am on a Saturday, supposed to be open until 1). How are people supposed to get their medication if they keep closing? Terrible service!
Helen Wright (10/05/2025, 14:09):
It's always an hour-long wait for your prescription, which I never have time to wait for. I end up leaving and having to come back next time to get my medication, sometimes leaving me without what I need for a couple of days. It's so frustrating. I suppose that's what happens when there are so many GP practices connected to it though. There's a constant flow of customers.
Eugene Ramos (10/05/2025, 02:03):
My local pharmacy, they are putting in a lot of effort to uphold a high level of service, but like many pharmacies, they are struggling due to staffing shortages.
David Walker (08/05/2025, 12:00):
The management at this Pharmacy is absolutely dreadful and disorganized, claiming to be short-staffed. It seems they do not hire new employees when others leave, leading to poor service and unhappy patients. Other branches of Lloyds seem to be facing similar issues, with constant claims of items being out of stock on prescriptions without following proper protocols to find alternatives. Patients are often sent back to their doctors for new prescriptions, with staff potentially keeping scripts for their own benefit. It is known that prescriptions supposedly take 48 hours to be dispensed, but in reality, the process should not take that long. There seems to be a lack of competition in the area, allowing Lloyds to maintain their business despite these shortcomings.
Justin Harris (07/05/2025, 06:48):
I reckon no one should have to wait a whole 30 minutes to an hour for their meds, as someone already mentioned! Head to the chemist and you won't be waiting more than 5 minutes.
Gregory Brooks (01/05/2025, 23:17):
During these challenging times, the pharmacy team has been absolutely amazing. As someone who was recently diagnosed with coeliac disease, I really appreciate how the staff have ensured that my prescriptions are always up to date. A huge thank you to the team!
Olivia Foster (01/05/2025, 05:37):
I must say, I've been quite disappointed with the customer service at this pharmacy. The queues always seem to be long and slow-moving, with most of the waiting done outside, rain or shine. It can take over an hour for a prescription to be filled, and they don't inform you of the wait time until after you've submitted your script. I recommend trying other pharmacies in the area for faster service. Boots on the high street is a much better option in my opinion.
Jessica Collins (30/04/2025, 17:09):
The level of inefficiency at this establishment is simply mind-boggling. There is always a shortage of staff, and the queues are consistently long. I found myself waiting behind 12 people for over 20 minutes, during which only 3 were attended to. Eventually, I gave up in frustration and left feeling extremely annoyed. Lloyd's should be embarrassed to label this as a public service. I have no intention of returning.
Roy Gutierrez (26/04/2025, 15:17):
This pharmacy is always buzzing with activity, the staff are fantastic, and my medication is never late.
Donna Peterson (25/04/2025, 03:17):
I would strongly recommend steering clear of this pharmacy!! It's been well over a week and my prescription still wasn't ready. Their operating hours are limited, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, and they appeared to be closed on Saturdays, or at least they were closed last weekend. On top of that, there were huge lines to contend with.
Ella Kelly (21/04/2025, 00:55):
Always extremely helpful and kind. They really go out of their way to order my medication and find it from various suppliers when there's a shortage.
