The store is fine, but the staff aren't very friendly. They don't seem to be very helpful and they prefer for you to use the self-service checkout...which I find annoying, especially when buying alcohol as you have to wait for age verification. It would be better if at least one manned register was open like at Asda, so customers have a choice.

Seems like this experimental shop by Asda is trying to test how few staff they can get away with and still keep the store running. The self-service checkouts always have a queue since there's hardly ever a staff member around when you need help.

After playing football, me and my son always pop into Asda to check if those Freals milkshakes are in stock, but just like every time before, they're always sold out. It's a massive letdown for my boy. What's the point of having the machine if it's never stocked? Absolutely shocking.

Went to a little shop today. Wasn't too crowded but wasn't a fan of using the self-service checkout, had no other choice. I don't work for Asda, so why am I doing their job? As always with these machines, had to wait for a staff member to come over and fix an issue with the checkout. Not great service.

Absolutely dreadful experience. I popped by the petrol station and the attendant was terribly rude and unhelpful. The supermarket had an extremely limited variety of products and the interior was quite shabby. It's such a pity, as there is clearly so much potential here.

I frequent this supermarket daily and must say I find it quite lamentable that I must procure my petrol from the garage and source my cigarettes and juice from alternative establishments. The shelves are replenished only once a week, if one is fortunate, and I now find myself sampling every possible brand of cigarettes until supplies also dwindle. Alas, the in-store experience leaves much to be desired. I nostalgically recall the days when it operated as a Co-op; back then, at least there was a sense that someone genuinely took pride in their work!

The majority of the staff are lovely, but there are a few who are quite rude. When I asked for assistance from a staff member named Luci, I received no help whatsoever. I felt belittled by her sarcastic remarks and attitude before she walked away. This experience was disappointing, especially considering it is a local shop.

I must say, I was terribly let down. I had the desire to acquire some lottery tickets at 9:45pm, yet the attendant informed me that I could not purchase any from numbers 1 to 8, all priced at £5. Consequently, I was only permitted to buy tickets of lesser value, which did not appeal to me. I inquired as to why this restriction was in place, and he clarified that these particular tickets had already been tallied and finalized, and thus could not be vended after 10pm. I argued that it was not yet 10pm, so could I not still make the purchase? Alas, he remained firm in his refusal. I sought out the manager, although I could not distinguish if the individual I spoke to was indeed the manager as they were clad in the same uniform as the cashier. To my dismay, the response was identical, despite the fact that it was not yet 10pm, leading me to believe that someone was shirking their duties as the store operated until 11pm. In my opinion, ticket sales should be extended until closing time, not abruptly cut off at 9:30pm. Does anyone happen to be privy to Asda's regulations on this matter?

This wee shop offers a decent range of items for purchase. The staff is quite helpful if you find yourself in need of assistance. However, the self-checkout is the only option available, aside from the kiosk. This may not sit well with individuals who enjoy a bit of chit-chat while paying for their groceries. Many customers who live alone might not have the chance to speak with anyone else all day without a wee chat at the checkout.
