To my dismay, the response was identical, despite the fact that it was not yet 10pm, leading me to believe that someone was shirking their duties as the store operated until 11pm. In my opinion, ticket sales should be extended until closing time, not abruptly cut off at 9:30pm. Does anyone happen to be privy to Asda's regulations on this matter?

However, the self-checkout is the only option available, aside from the kiosk. This may not sit well with individuals who enjoy a bit of chit-chat while paying for their groceries. Many customers who live alone might not have the chance to speak with anyone else all day without a wee chat at the checkout.

It seems that the staff filling the shelves don't leave much room for shoppers to move around comfortably. The selection of products available is also quite restricted. Just like all the others, the biggest challenge 'ere is the management makin' the shopfloor staff stock shelves durin' the peak times of the day, while the poor soul runnin' the self-service tills is juggling more tasks than they can 'andle. The staff themselves are top-notch, but it's clear as day that the higher-ups are a bit rubbish at their job.

They ought to have more staff manning the checkout lanes. An elderly lady struggled to adapt to the Self Service Machine, which slowed down the whole process as it took her approximately 15 minutes to finish scanning her items, holding up the line for everyone else! Other than that, fantastic prices and a wide array of products available.

The staff were just standing around chit-chatting - I don't need to hear about their nights out while I'm shopping. No one was enforcing social distancing or directing the flow of shoppers. Only one checkout was being manned, the others were all self-service. The young man who seemed to be in charge was incredibly rude, my elderly mother has vowed never to return. I had to pull my cart out of the aisle to assist a new employee at the checkout. There was no effort made to keep a safe distance or any apology for being too close.

Absolutely ridiculous experience at this place. I've been a loyal customer for years, but last night when I went to buy some wine and cigarettes, I encountered a bizarre situation. Despite being almost 37 years old and looking my age, the small, grey-haired English lady at the counter asked me for ID because there were two police officers nearby. I didn't have my ID on me as I had never been asked for it there before. She flat out refused to serve me, even though the police officers offered to confirm my age over the radio. She still wouldn't budge. So, I ended up giving my items to my 19-year-old son who did have his ID, and she served him instead of me. After all of that, one of the male officers even confirmed my age to her. It was an absolute joke!
If the staff is going to act that way, then why did she end up selling the wine to my son, knowing it was for me, the person she had just refused to serve? It's mind-boggling, to say the least!
