Diane Wright (05/07/2025, 04:03):
The purpose of minor ailments services at your local pharmacy is to ease the burden on GPs and doctor surgeries, which are facing challenges within the NHS. It seems that pharmacies are now required to provide prescriptions for medications that were previously available over the counter.

This information can be found on the government website:

https://www.gov.scot/policies/primary-care-services/pharmacy/

These services play a crucial role by:
- Improving public healthcare access as patients can consult their pharmacist without needing an appointment
- Reducing the workload for GPs and nurses, allowing them to focus on patients with more serious conditions
- Optimizing the skills of community pharmacists and making the most of the healthcare workforce

I will not be frequenting this pharmacy again. They were unable to deliver my medication, despite the fact that I am a vulnerable individual with heart issues and diabetes. They even suggested that my 70-year-old mother with dementia pick up my prescription while I am in isolation. Unbelievable!
Christina Graham (28/06/2025, 18:08):
I've been dealing with a right mess for weeks at this pharmacy. They managed to misplace my prescription, and their customer service is simply dreadful. And to make matters worse, today I showed up at 9:10am only to find the place closed in pitch darkness. Peered through the window to see at least 2 staff members behind the counter just giving me a blank stare. There were even a couple of folks waiting outside for them to open. Absolutely shocking service!
Jeremy Taylor (28/06/2025, 09:56):
I must say, the prescription was not available despite multiple exchanges; however, it eventually surfaced. Some of the staff members exhibited rather off-putting attitudes.
Jose Howard (26/06/2025, 08:57):
The Pharmacy had a great selection and was impeccably tidy. The staff were friendly, dressed professionally, and extremely well-informed.
Wayne Jenkins (25/06/2025, 22:30):
I was standing in line at the pharmacy at 4:20 pm for about 15 minutes, but as it got busier, I was informed that they were no longer processing prescriptions, only pick-ups. Since I was there for a pick-up, I requested mine, only to be told it hadn't been prepared and wouldn't be ready. There was a frail elderly lady behind me who was hard of hearing and when she asked for her prescription, she was directed to go to another pharmacy. She pleaded, saying she had just come from the doctor, but she was told once again to go elsewhere. Meanwhile, two young men were receiving their methadone. It seems to me that the lady should have been prioritized in the pharmacy. It was truly disheartening to witness this injustice. I have decided that I will never return to that pharmacy after this experience. Very upsetting, indeed.
Judith Price (23/06/2025, 05:59):
I shan't be returnin' again, that wee skinny older lassie is pure ignorant to customers and won't lend a hand at all. I'll be headin' over tae St. Clair Street pharmacy from noo on, the staff there are friendly and ever so helpful.
Chloe Brooks (19/06/2025, 06:25):
"Oi mate, most of the blokes at the pharmacy are right friendly, but I 'ad a bit of a frustrating time the other day. It took ages for 'em to find me prescription, reckon it might be 'cos of me foreign name. The chemist suggested I bring a printout next time, but the system should really be able to manage all names properly. Overall, I reckon the service was good, but 'ope they sort out their processes for a smoother experience next time."
Nathan Gonzales (15/06/2025, 05:14):
I am wondering why they are saying that the pharmacy closes at 5.30 pm when I have been calling for the last hour and a half.
Janice Alexander (12/06/2025, 20:01):
Blood pressure 222/127
They instructed me to return home and schedule an appointment via telephone.
The next available date they offered was in 2 weeks.
The service provided was perceived as arrogant and impolite.
Rose Ortiz (30/05/2025, 20:22):
This pharmacy is top-notch. The team is incredibly friendly and always willing to lend a hand, prescriptions are consistently prepared promptly. If they happen to be out of stock of any item, they swiftly place an order. I wholeheartedly recommend this pharmacy without any reservations. Thank you.
Carolyn Bennett (28/05/2025, 05:43):
I popped into the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, and it was quite busy with several familiar faces in line. When I approached the counter, the pharmacist started to detail the medications in my order, but I quickly interrupted and inquired if both items were available. Hopefully, this feedback will be noted, as patient confidentiality is crucial, especially in sensitive situations like mine. Mistakes happen, and I understand, but it's important to remain vigilant.
Roy Parker (27/05/2025, 18:44):
It's a shame they shut down so early. I find it quite challenging to make it there. Opening until 6pm once a week would be really helpful.
Russell Jordan (21/05/2025, 05:00):
This pharmacy is top notch, situated conveniently next to the Pathead doctors' office. The staff were friendly and had my medication ready in a jiffy, less than ten minutes!
