LloydsPharmacy in Bellshill: A Comprehensive Review

LloydsPharmacy located in Bellshill aims to provide a wide range of pharmacy services while being an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment. However, the reviews from customers indicate varying experiences that could impact your visit, especially if you are looking for a transgender safe space.

Service Options and Accessibility

One notable feature of this pharmacy is its wheelchair-accessible entrance, which makes it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to access necessary services. They offer several service options including in-store shopping, delivery, and in-store pick-up. Customers have mentioned that while the staff is generally friendly and helpful, the service has been inconsistent.

Payment Methods Accepted

LloydsPharmacy accepts various forms of payment, making it convenient for shoppers. You can use credit cards, debit cards, and even NFC mobile payments for those who prefer digital transactions. However, customers have reported long wait times which may cause frustration when trying to complete payments.

Delivery and Wait Times

While the pharmacy advertises delivery options, many customers have shared their disappointment regarding prescription fulfillment. Instances of shocking service have been noted, where prescriptions were reported lost or unfulfilled for days. For those who rely on timely medication, this can add unnecessary stress, particularly as some reviews lament that they had to return multiple times to find their medication.

Customer Experience

Many patrons describe their experiences at LloydsPharmacy as frustrating due to long wait times and complicated prescription processes. Queue times of over 20 minutes are not uncommon, leading to complaints about the efficiency of the staff. Some customers have expressed concern for elderly individuals who may not have the flexibility to travel back and forth. That said, there are also voices praising the pleasant and friendly staff who work diligently under challenging conditions. A consistent theme in the positive reviews is the dedication of individual employees, even amidst systemic issues.

Challenges Faced

Despite its good intentions, LloydsPharmacy faces challenges with staffing and operational management. There have been complaints about the pharmacy needing additional resources to handle the volume of patients effectively. Some customers expressed a desire for more clear communication regarding wait times and service availability.

Conclusion

In summary, LloydsPharmacy in Bellshill aims to cater to diverse customer needs but has room for improvement. The commitment to being LGBTQ+ friendly and providing accessibility is commendable, yet the mixed reviews highlight significant operational challenges. If you're considering a visit, weigh the convenience of location against the potential for long waits and service inconsistencies. For those needing timely medication, keep these factors in mind when choosing your pharmacy.

Amazing chemist with incredibly helpful staff, and the pharmacists are excellent at assisting you.
Russell Ross (19/05/2025, 20:20):
I must say, this is the 2nd occasion within a span of 3 weeks that I have dialed up this pharmacy for my daily prescription only to find the blasted shutters firmly shut, without so much as a hint of an explanation. I had taken the trouble to sign a contract with this chemist, and was explicitly guaranteed that in the event of an early closure for any reason, I would be duly notified by telephone. Isn't this a clear breach of their end of the agreement? The personnel are delightful, no complaints there, but it seems evident that they are grappling with some serious staffing issues if they are unable to man the pharmacy from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. For goodness' sake, if a closure is necessary, why not wrap up shop by 6 o'clock, but at the very least inform the public! Once again, I find myself without my medication. Another night spent tossing and turning for me. However, should I dare to raise concerns about the absence of my necessary medication, I may likely face accusations of failing to uphold the zero-tolerance clause in their contract! It's a no-win situation...
Kathleen Morris (18/05/2025, 05:07):
I have to say, this pharmacy has been the most disappointing experience I've had in a long time. The service was incredibly slow and unhelpful, with staff seeming more interested in getting customers out the door quickly than actually assisting them. A real letdown.
Allison Smith (15/05/2025, 11:16):
The staff is always so lovely and accommodating.
Jerry Davis (14/05/2025, 20:50):
What a complete farce of a place, I dropped off my stepdad to pick up some basic over-the-counter tablets that are widely available, only to be met by an unhelpful pharmacist who brushed him off, suggesting he contact the doctor or NHS24. Can you believe it, for a simple over-the-counter remedy that he needed urgently? We can't afford to wait a week to see a doctor or put unnecessary pressure on the NHS, especially on the 2nd of January. The service from this community pharmacy was abysmal. Instead, we walked into Tesco and purchased the item immediately, no questions asked. It's absurd that a pharmacist would deflect responsibility onto the doctor or NHS24 when the same product is readily available at Tesco. What a joke! Next time, we'll know better than to waste our time at that chemist. Truly embarrassing.
Mary Harris (13/05/2025, 14:13):
Finding a good chemist can be a challenge, especially when parking is tight. However, I must say this pharmacy is top-notch! The team there is always super friendly and incredibly helpful. It's also a bonus that they're open every day of the week!
Evelyn Simmons (11/05/2025, 23:27):
Absolutely smashing! Closing up shop at 9pm is absolutely brilliant.

Danielle Evans (04/05/2025, 09:22):
I must say, I had an absolutely dreadful experience today! Went to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy, but they claimed they had no record of it. I had to go back to my doctor's office, where they confirmed that the prescription had been sent and received by the pharmacy, even providing me with a printout and a QR code as proof. When I returned to the pharmacy and waited in a queue for 23 minutes behind 6 people (yes, I timed it!), I showed them the evidence from my doctors. Lo and behold, they miraculously found my prescription in the back, untouched. This is now the third time this has happened to me in the last 3 months. It's incredibly frustrating to waste over an hour running back and forth between the pharmacy and the doctor's office for something that was there all along!

Despite the friendly staff at the pharmacy, I have to admit their service is shockingly disorganized. I do understand that they may be facing challenges with a new computer system, but it's been 2 months since its introduction and the issues persist. Thankfully, I am able to drive between locations, but imagine if I were an elderly person without that option – it would be even more stressful. The fact that the pharmacy even requires a security guard speaks volumes about the quality of their service.

I tried calling them multiple times to check if my prescription was ready, but no one answered the phone. After 18 unsuccessful calls in an hour, I have no choice but to make yet another trip to the pharmacy to see if my prescription is finally available. It's disappointing that they can't even manage their phone lines properly. Seeing other customers in the queue experiencing similar problems just added to the frustration.

Overall, I'm deeply disappointed with this experience, especially considering it's the first negative review I've ever left. Hopefully, the pharmacy takes steps to improve their service and prevent such issues from recurring in the future.
Ryan Morales (03/05/2025, 19:18):
I received top-notch service and a comprehensive medication review tonight. I felt extremely reassured about patient safety.
Sophia Nelson (02/05/2025, 11:00):
It's tough to grasp your understanding, they inform you that they don't have it yet and it will take 24 hours to receive it.
Andrea Evans (30/04/2025, 01:46):
Pharmacy open late seven days a week. It's a tad snug inside for big wheelchairs and there's sometimes clueless parkers outside.
Carl Reed (30/04/2025, 01:32):
It was quite a challenge to get through on the phone, but I understand that the pharmacy is very understaffed. The team there is extremely busy and rushed off their feet trying to keep up with everything. So, it's important to be patient and understanding when they finally do answer your call.
Emily Davis (29/04/2025, 21:14):
This pharmacy is in dire need of someone to manage it. The service is absolutely terrible and the pharmacist is just as bad.
Gabriel Jones (29/04/2025, 13:07):
If I could render no stars to this pharmacy, I surely would. This is hands down the most dreadful pharmacy I've ever encountered. Regrettably, I find myself in a situation where I must visit this pharmacy on a weekly basis, and nearly every week there arises some complication. As I approach the doors, anxiety sets in because I anticipate being presented with yet another excuse for their failure to provide the expected service.
Lisa Roberts (28/04/2025, 20:34):
This pharmacy is an absolute disaster. You hand in your prescriptions and return four days later only to find out that they have misplaced it not once, but twice now. You wait for at least 20 minutes hoping they will locate your prescription, only to be met by a rude and unprofessional staff member named "Kelly" who is a complete disgrace to customer service. She is cheeky and disrespectful, even suggesting you find another pharmacy if you're not satisfied. The pharmacy itself is in a terrible state and should probably be closed down. If you didn't have high blood pressure before walking in, you certainly will by the time you leave. That employee should find a job that doesn't involve interacting with the public, as she is a truly unpleasant individual. 😡
