I popped in to have new lenses put into my current frames. I was seen very promptly and the entire experience was fantastic. They took the time to explain everything to me and the customer service I received was top-notch. The Aberdeen Danestone Branch is outstanding.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. In February, I scheduled an appointment for April 9th, but two weeks later they changed it to April 2nd. Then, on the 2nd of April, they rescheduled again for April 23rd at 1pm. When I arrived, they postponed the visit to 5pm. Is this some kind of joke?

Had a bit of an issue with my left eye; tried rinsing it out at work using an eye bath, letting the shower water flow over it but no luck. It feels like there's something stuck under the eyelid. After speaking with the pharmacist who recommended eye drops, I was advised to see an optician. So, I went to the place where I got my glasses.

The receptionist took a triage form and asked me some questions. She quickly diagnosed it as "dry eye" and said she would talk to the optician. The optician confirmed the diagnosis without even examining me or looking at my eye. I live over 40 miles away from this optician, and needless to say, they have just lost a customer.

They couldn't have seemed less interested if they tried. There was only one other customer in the whole place who was given drops for an exam and asked to wait. If they were busy, I could understand, but this level of service was just disgraceful.

My glasses were in a right state, had to patch 'em up quick and needed a new pair sharpish. The service was top-notch, dead helpful in helping me pick out just what I needed. And would you believe it, only had to wait a week for my varifocals! Can't fault the service, would recommend 'em without a doubt.

I've been using this optician's for a good two years now. Their service is top-notch, and just recently they were able to fix a wrong prescription (from another provider) that was giving my wife terrible migraines. A big shoutout to Ernesta, who took the time to listen to my wife's concerns and quickly resolved the issue. And a massive thanks to Rachel, who was incredibly patient during my wife's eye test as she has dyslexia and finds it tough. Rachel really helped calm her down and made her feel heard.

I must say I am greatly disappointed with the service I received from Vision Express. After having my eyes tested, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses. When I went to pick them up after receiving a notification that they were ready, I found that the lenses had been placed in the wrong frames on one pair, and the second pair was not suitable for reading, so both had to be sent back for corrections.

After being notified that the glasses were ready once again, I returned to find that the lenses were now in the correct frames, but I still couldn't read with the second pair. This pair has now been sent back and forth 4 times for adjustments without success. On the 4th attempt, the staff suggested I keep the first pair due to all the inconvenience, cancel the plan, and not pay anything.

However, the store manager later informed me that the general manager wouldn't approve this solution. She presented me with a few alternatives which I found unsatisfactory, leading me to return the glasses and cancel the plan altogether.

Now, 7 weeks after my initial appointment, I am left without glasses and will have to schedule another appointment with a different optician as I certainly will not be returning to Vision Express.

I reckon it's been about a year since I had my eyes checked, and the optician I saw was a bit cold, if you know what I mean. Felt like I was bothering 'em the whole time during the exam. But, on the flip side, the front desk ladies were just lovely and super helpful, which is why I kept goin' back there. However, I ordered some new lenses not long ago, and after waitin' a whole month they still hadn't turned up. Ended up canceling my order and I'll be takin' my business elsewhere from now on.
