Exploring Well Pharmacy in Kelty: A Mixed Bag of Services

Well Pharmacy, located in the heart of Kelty, has garnered a reputation for both its vibrant community presence and some concerning customer experiences. This pharmacy offers various service options, including in-store shopping, on-site services, and in-store pick-up, catering to local residents' needs. However, recent reviews suggest significant room for improvement.

Navigating Payments and Accessibility

For customers seeking convenience, Well Pharmacy accepts multiple payment methods, including credit cards and debit cards. Furthermore, they support NFC mobile payments, making transactions seamless for those on the go. The pharmacy features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that accessibility is prioritized for all. However, the experiences shared by customers indicate that greater attention to these facilities is necessary.

Customer Experiences: Issues with Medication and Service

Several reviews highlight ongoing issues with availability of medication and the overall customer service quality at Well Pharmacy. Customers have reported waiting up to three weeks for prescriptions, raising concerns over the efficiency of the pharmacy's operations. One reviewer expressed frustration over the staff's response to inquiries regarding medication availability, stating, "the main pharmacist is plain rude" when interactions should be friendly and supportive.

Moreover, consistent complaints about inadequate staffing and poor communication have surfaced. Several customers have noted that they were left without essential medications, such as pain relief and warfarin, due to failures in processing prescriptions correctly. Such experiences can be particularly detrimental for vulnerable populations, including those with disabilities.

Community Engagement and Potential for Improvement

While the negative feedback illustrates serious concerns, some customers still recognize the potential that Well Pharmacy holds. One individual remarked on the pleasant demeanor of the head pharmacist, highlighting that there are instances of helpful and informative service. This duality reflects the pharmacy's ability to improve by addressing customer feedback directly.

A Friendly Space for Everyone

Despite the challenges faced, Well Pharmacy has the opportunity to establish itself as an LGBTQ+ friendly space that emphasizes inclusivity and customer care. By enhancing their service options and improving communication, the pharmacy can better serve all members of the community.

Looking Ahead: What Can Be Done?

To address the concerns raised by numerous customers, Well Pharmacy should consider investing in three key areas: improving stock management to prevent medication shortages, enhancing staff training for better customer interactions, and reassessing their in-store operations to ensure safety and accessibility. With these changes, Well Pharmacy could once again become a cornerstone of healthcare in Kelty.

In conclusion, while Well Pharmacy has faced challenges in its recent operations, it remains a critical resource for the Kelty community. Addressing current issues could transform it into the excellent pharmacy that many once appreciated.

Outstanding pharmacy, the chief pharmacist is absolutely delightful and consistently goes above and beyond to assist and provide valuable information.
James Johnson (24/06/2025, 00:53):
The customer service at this pharmacy is absolutely terrible. They consistently fail to deliver my medications on time, leaving me without vital prescriptions. The staff have even been caught lying, like saying my prescription just came from the doctor when my sister actually dropped it off at the pharmacy. It's not right to treat disabled individuals this way, and it's extremely dangerous to be left without medications like warfarin.
Kenneth Johnson (13/06/2025, 17:15):
The staff was absolutely dreadful, with rude and arrogant customer service. It was nonexistent! Today I had to wait a whole 30 minutes for a prescription that they've had since Tuesday, which is just unacceptable (4 whole days!).
Eugene Lopez (03/06/2025, 08:59):
This quaint pharmacy used to be superb, but it has seriously gone downhill over the past year. It's taking ages to receive medication. It used to be around a 7 day wait from ordering online if you were lucky. I'm still waiting three weeks on. The main pharmacist is plain rude in the way he responds to any questions. Currently, there are so many boxes, etc., everywhere at the back of the till, I'm surprised they aren't tripping over them. Surely this is a big fire risk. They also don't seem to offer any of the services they used to, like pharmacy consultations and vaccines.

This last experience prompted me to write this. In 25 years, I have never had to wait three weeks to see if my prescription was ready, only to be told the medication was unavailable. When I asked if he could call around local pharmacies to help me find the medication, the response was no. Not great customer service. I was able to go to my next closest pharmacy and get the medication. I also inquired if there was an issue getting this medication, and the other pharmacy told me there was not. So, a total error on the pharmacy's end. I hope the pharmacist sorts out his poor attitude.
Jack Morgan (01/06/2025, 23:07):
I must express my gratitude once more for leaving me without my pain medication. I do comprehend the reason behind all establishments being closed yesterday due to the storm; however, my general practitioner authorized my prescription on Monday. After persistently raising this matter for months now, your local manager assured me that additional supplies of my medication would be procured to ensure constant availability. Nevertheless, I find myself enduring the weekend in discomfort. Furthermore, a prescription for my sister's husband's Parkinson's medication was issued on the 9th of January, and she only received it yesterday due to your recurring oversight in placing the order. This situation clearly demonstrates that I am not the sole individual encountering difficulties due to your actions.
