Mia Hayes (30/07/2025, 09:34):
I rang up yesterday morning in urgent need of speaking with a doctor, the line was quite busy but after 6-7 minutes on hold I was connected to a receptionist. She was absolutely lovely and not only arranged for a doctor to call me back immediately but also assisted me in scheduling a follow-up appointment for a recurring injury. The doctor attentively listened to my concerns and provided me with valuable assistance. A wonderful experience, especially given their hectic schedule! Delighted with the service.
Emma Gutierrez (27/07/2025, 12:55):
I have been a loyal patient at this medical center for three decades and I must say, it has been consistently outstanding every single time. I am utterly baffled by the negative feedback left on this platform. The reception staff have always been incredibly helpful and courteous. Dr. McLeod is truly exceptional in his care. The practice nurse deserves to be recognized on the honors list for her outstanding work.
Gary Adams (26/07/2025, 23:09):
Unacceptable conduct from the front desk staff. Completely indifferent to your circumstances or medical concerns.
Anna Graham (23/07/2025, 19:07):
It's nearly impossible to secure appointments at the moment. It's as if you need to predict your illness three weeks in advance just to see a doctor.
Bobby Hamilton (17/07/2025, 08:48):
I must say, the reception at this medical center is simply dreadful and impolite. I spent a good 45 minutes this morning attempting to get through to them on the phone. It seems as though they have some difficulty deciphering doctors' notes—I dare say, they may struggle with reading altogether!—yet they put on airs of intelligence and treat patients quite poorly. Truly, one might declare this establishment as the most abominable medical practice and general practitioner to be found anywhere in the world.
Doris White (16/07/2025, 07:31):
The service from this medical center is quite lacking, all appointments are fully booked within 5 minutes of the phone lines opening and it's nearly impossible to schedule a non-urgent appointment for a few days in advance. In addition, prescriptions are often either sent to the incorrect pharmacy or not processed at all!
Charlotte Fisher (15/07/2025, 02:43):
I reckon I could count on me fingers how many times I popped into the Medical Center over the years, until about a year back when I got diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Ever since then, I've been a regular at the surgery for prescriptions, blood work, and such. I have to say, the care and attention I've received from the Docs, Nurses, and Receptionists have been top-notch. They've all been absolutely brilliant, and I don't reckon they get enough recognition for the hard graft they put in.
Chloe Ortiz (14/07/2025, 17:07):
The system that operates within this medical facility is top-notch, in my opinion: doctors, practice nurses, pharmacies (Mid Calder), physiotherapists, and others all collaborate efficiently.
Furthermore, the receptionists are excellent, polite, and helpful.
I find it disgraceful that there are negative comments on this platform, made by individuals whom I am grateful not to have to interact with.
Sarah Roberts (13/07/2025, 22:24):
This Medical Center is doing great during these challenging times. Telephone consultations may not be ideal, but they are sufficient and will move you forward if needed. The staff members are incredibly friendly and diligent.
Patricia Sanders (10/07/2025, 10:42):
Securing an appointment at this medical center seems to be quite a challenge. Even making a phone call before 9 am results in a recorded message indicating that all the usual GP appointments have been booked for the day, prompting you to try again the next day. This has been my experience on two occasions now, and I must say, it's quite frustrating. It appears that this medical center is struggling to keep up with the increased demand due to the new residential developments in Calderwood.
Julia Hall (09/07/2025, 11:41):
Had a dreadful time trying to schedule an appointment, and some of the doctors there are truly the most condescending individuals I've ever encountered.
Albert Martin (09/07/2025, 02:27):
Since relocating to East Calder last April, I've been thoroughly impressed by the team at the medical center. They always go the extra mile to assist you. I am truly impressed by their consistent customer service and willingness to help. A big thank you to all the staff for their assistance and understanding.
Rebecca Allen (06/07/2025, 21:37):
A big thanks to the wonderful receptionist who held down the fort all night solo in the midst of the harsh weather and heavy snow until 6 PM! And then back at it again at 8.30 am today! Cheers to her dedication and hard work!
Debra Thompson (05/07/2025, 16:19):
From the receptionist, to the nurses, phlebotomists, and GPs, I must say I am truly impressed with this medical center. They all show genuine care, provide top-notch service consistently, and Dr. McLeod is an absolute treasure.
Betty Kim (02/07/2025, 20:55):
I will never return to that place again! It was a dreadful experience.
Dennis Coleman (01/07/2025, 11:07):
I recently started coming to this medical center, but the staff and doctors made me feel right at home as if I had been a patient here for years. The welcoming atmosphere and personalized care truly stood out to me. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of medical services.
Patrick Patterson (30/06/2025, 12:17):
My partner has been struggling to get through for a whole month now, mate. We've been trying every day since she got her prescription with a note from the doctor to schedule an appointment. It's been a right hassle, let me tell you.
Nancy Kim (28/06/2025, 18:28):
I was instructed by the doctor to ring back 2 weeks after our last chat regarding my mental well-being. I made the call this morning only to be informed that they can't assist me until Wednesday, as the mental health nurse is absent due to illness. I fail to see the relevance of this to my scheduled conversation with the doctor about my problems. I was further informed that no one would be available to speak with me until Wednesday. What kind of nonsense is this from the doctors? It's unacceptable to deny someone with mental health concerns an appointment that the doctor specifically advised me to seek!
Dennis White (24/06/2025, 13:23):
Whenever I've had to visit the Medical Center, all the staff have been absolutely fantastic.
Nicole Jordan (24/06/2025, 06:48):
As a mum of a wee one, I must say this surgery is top-notch. My little bundle of joy was checked on before her name was even on the books, let alone in the practice's records. Top-notch care during a stressful time.
