I popped in to pick up a gift card, and although there were 4 ladies working, they were all busy handling prescriptions, which is completely understandable. After all, the pharmacy comes first, and everything else comes second.

I was following Jean right out the door. The absolute worst pharmacy experience ever at Saltcoats. Don't you dare question what they give you for your prescription or they'll publicly scold you. My latest visit included receiving three incorrect items that can't be returned. I was too afraid to check before leaving the shop. Now they'll bill the NHS for their mistake, which has been confirmed by my doctor's office. They're quick to blame either you or the doctor's office for their own inept service. My most recent collection was over a week late. It's almost like fraud, so I hope my complaint will be seriously considered. I've been a customer for many years, and even though they occasionally got my 8-week script right, I don't feel they care about losing my business. Total incompetence from the Boots Pharmacy staff.

Louise was an absolute gem during my visit on 01/12/2021, helping me and my Sister-in-Law select Christmas gifts for a 13-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy who might not otherwise receive presents this year. As I don't have children of my own, I was a bit lost on what to choose, but Louise's assistance was invaluable. The gifts she helped us pick out were perfect, and the discounts and savings made it possible for us to include an extra child in our gift-giving. Louise was incredibly patient, friendly, and professional, going above and beyond to make our experience special. After a tough year for our family, Louise truly lifted our spirits by the time we left the store. Though I don't live in Saltcoats, I will make it a point to return to your store as soon as possible. Thank you, Louise, you are a shining star and a wonderful asset to Boots.

I called ahead to have my prescription ready for collection on Friday, but when I went in on Saturday, they couldn't locate it. Despite the confusion, after a bit of persistence, they managed to find my prescription after about 4 minutes. I must say, I was not impressed with the service at Boots Chemist on Dockhead Street. Goodbye.
