Exploring Boots Pharmacy in Glasgow: A Unique Experience

Boots Pharmacy in Glasgow offers various service options for customers, yet experiences vary widely. Whether you opt for in-store shopping, in-store pick-up, or delivery, it's essential to understand what to expect.

Payments and Accessibility Features

The pharmacy accommodates various payments, including credit cards and NFC mobile payments for seamless transactions. Additionally, the store boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park, making it convenient for all customers. However, recent reviews indicate significant issues with accessibility, particularly regarding staff responsiveness. Many patrons have noted that phone calls often go unanswered, leaving elderly customers inquiring about their prescriptions without immediate assistance.

Service Options and In-Store Experiences

While many appreciate the friendly and helpful staff reported by some customers, others express dissatisfaction with the overall service. Numerous comments reveal frustrations about prescriptions not being prepared on time or lack of notifications when they are ready. This inconsistency can complicate even a quick visit to the pharmacy. Customers have shared their grievances, mentioning understaffing as a chronic issue. For instance, one reviewer lamented, "they are always struggling to get my prescription ready," highlighting the need for Boots to address these operational challenges.

Planning Your Visit

It's also crucial to plan your visit accordingly. One customer experienced disappointment upon discovering that the pharmacy closes for an hour during lunch, leading to unnecessary struggles, especially for pregnant individuals making long trips to the store. Being aware of these hours could save time and frustration.

Conclusion

Overall, while Boots Pharmacy in Glasgow offers valuable services like delivery, in-store shopping, and multiple payment options, ongoing challenges persist. Customers should consider these factors when planning their visit, ensuring they have a clearer understanding of what to expect from this particular location.

The lady appeared quite pleased to lock the door just as I was about to enter to pick up a prescription right at 1 o'clock. She informed me that they were closed for lunch! Fantastic service, thank you so much!
Barbara Hernandez (20/06/2025, 01:08):
I've got an appointment today. I'll keep you updated.

Oi mate, it's always a right pain in the neck when I 'ave to go collect me medicine. Every time, there's some sort of issue—either with the meds or the blokes workin' there. Last time, they forgot to sort it out, and I never got any word from Boots about it.
Ella Wilson (17/06/2025, 02:01):
What an amazing little pharmacy. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the service is very efficient.
Abigail Taylor (16/06/2025, 19:32):
The staff at this establishment were incredibly clueless, with their eyes glued to the ground and no effort made to acknowledge the customers waiting. After waiting for 5 minutes, I decided to leave as they seemed to go out of their way to avoid being helpful. I have never experienced such disinterest in customer service before.
James Reyes (13/06/2025, 16:01):
Absolutely marvelous experience indeed!
Russell Morales (12/06/2025, 14:03):
Not too shabby, could use a bit of improvement I reckon.
Christian Ramirez (05/06/2025, 04:42):
Ever since they started managing my prescriptions directly from the doctors instead of me placing the orders, they never seem to have them prepared on time and do not offer any apologies. I find myself having to make endless calls without anyone picking up the phone. I end up waiting for days for a prescription without receiving any notification when it's ready, despite them assuring me they would do so. The level of service has definitely declined compared to what it used to be!
Lucy Jordan (04/06/2025, 03:03):
It's been quite busy around Christmas and New Year trying to find parking, but it's a fantastic shopping center.
Ronald Rodriguez (03/06/2025, 14:58):
The service was top-notch and incredibly helpful.
Paul Coleman (03/06/2025, 07:35):
Excellent pharmacy, staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Ruth Adams (30/05/2025, 10:52):
It says they're open until 18:00 on Sunday but I'm here now and it's closed.
Christian Sanders (22/05/2025, 12:09):
This little shop is so tiny, only 2 customers can fit inside at once. Their selection of products is quite limited. It looks like the staff are really stretched thin - they often forget to let you know when your prescription is ready.
Sarah Kelly (21/05/2025, 08:27):
What a complete joke of a pharmacy! The staff are so ignorant and rude. It's absolutely terrible that they promised to deliver a prescription but then made you go collect it yourself after a bad fall and suffering lower back trauma. I would highly recommend avoiding this pharmacy at all costs.
Louis Allen (20/05/2025, 10:16):
Fantastic selection of cosmetics with convenient parking options.
Ethan Graham (15/05/2025, 11:38):
I do wish they had posted on their website that the pharmacy would be closed for an hour during lunchtime. As a heavily pregnant woman, it was quite challenging for me to walk 25 minutes to get there, only to be informed that I had to come back in an hour due to the lunch break. This turned my 50-minute round trip into either a grueling hour-and-forty-minute walk or a tedious hour of waiting around.
Gabriel Cruz (15/05/2025, 10:08):
Quite satisfactory, I must say.
Nicole Phillips (08/05/2025, 03:36):
Originally, the Boots I went to didn't have the medicine I needed, but they phoned another branch and found what I was looking for. The staff were very helpful at the Old Drumchapel and Fulton Street branches. Many thanks.
