I have been receiving my medications through home delivery, but I am no longer confident in this pharmacy after the recent series of mishaps and accusations aimed at someone suffering from Parkinson's for supposedly "talking over" the pharmacist. When faced with a situation where the dosage being insisted upon is incorrect, should I simply remain silent or speak up to correct the error? If only they had taken the time to listen to me instead of being so obstinate from the beginning... perhaps because deep down they knew they were wrong but couldn't bring themselves to admit it – pride, truly one of the deadliest sins. Now I find myself without enough of my essential medication, all because of their prideful actions over the weekend.

I was thoroughly unimpressed by the individual I spoke to, Caroline Morgan, who adamantly argued that the prescription was accurate when it clearly was not. She then proceeded to angrily threaten me for attempting to point out their mistake. I did not raise my voice or use any profanity. This pharmacy used to show care and consideration; if only the person I spoke to had bothered to look at my previous month's prescription, she would have noticed the error in the new one and promptly contacted my GP. Reducing a daily dose of oxycontin by 50mg without proper consultation is extremely risky!

This was not the first time such an issue had arisen; the same situation occurred the previous Friday as well. Being told snidely that 'the girls won't miss me' as I left a chemist I had been using for five years, without the necessary medication (which had to be provided through an emergency prescription from a hospital doctor), was truly degrading. There had been no animosity between me and any other staff members, except for Caroline's recent unprofessional behavior. I had not visited the pharmacy in three months due to receiving deliveries after starting to use a wheelchair. Caroline's behavior has been consistently rude, judgmental, and discriminatory towards individuals with Parkinson's.

In response to the inadequate explanation given, I have been the one who requested a reduction in my medication from my GP – from 20mg to 15mg. I had been receiving 2 tablets twice daily for years from the same pharmacy. The pharmacist should have recognized the discrepancy. My previous pharmacist would have contacted me to address any potential errors. Guidelines for oxycontin recommend reducing the dosage by a maximum of 5mg; reducing me from 80mg to 30mg daily - a 50mg reduction, ten times the recommended amount – exposes the incompetence of your staff. Any competent pharmacist would question such a dangerously significant decrease in medication. And regarding the pharmacist Caroline, who felt rudely interrupted when I wasn't even speaking... she was talking over me. Why did she not remain retired?

I am appalled at the lack of empathy shown towards someone with Parkinson's.

If by chance they don't have an item in stock that you require, the staff will make every effort to source it for you and place a special order. A truly exceptional service, I highly recommend this pharmacy to all in the area!

The staff at this pharmacy are absolutely fantastic! Always willing to go the extra mile to help out. It's definitely a much better experience compared to some of the bigger chain stores out there.
