LloydsPharmacy in Burntisland: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Located in the heart of Burntisland, LloydsPharmacy offers a variety of service options that include in-store shopping, in-store pick-up, and delivery services. However, recent reviews suggest a spectrum of customer experiences, ranging from dissatisfaction to praise.

In-store Shopping and Customer Service Issues

Many customers have reported issues with service quality at LloydsPharmacy. Complaints about long waiting times and staff being short-handed are particularly common. One customer noted that despite their scheduled visit, the pharmacy was closed when they arrived at 9 AM, leading to frustration over mismanaged opening hours.

Customers have also mentioned rudeness from staff members when they inquired about their prescriptions. A clear disconnect between promised service times and actual readiness has led many to seek out alternatives, as another reviewer pointed out, “it’s been more of a mistake than a good thing.”

Payment Options and Policies

When it comes to payments, LloydsPharmacy accepts debit cards but has faced backlash for not accepting cash payments. This has caused significant discontent, especially since cash is still widely used. One customer emphatically declared their intention not to return after this experience. On the other hand, some patrons appreciated the option for NFC mobile payments, which made transactions faster and more convenient.

A Commitment to Inclusion: Transgender Safe Space and LGBTQ+ Friendly Environment

LloydsPharmacy has made strides towards being an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, which is commendable. This aspect of their service is crucial for many individuals seeking a welcoming environment in healthcare settings.

The Path Forward: Recommendations for Improvement

To enhance the overall experience, LloydsPharmacy in Burntisland might consider taking the following steps:

  • Update opening hours across all platforms to avoid confusion.
  • Increase staffing during peak hours to reduce waiting times.
  • Re-evaluate payment policies to accommodate a wider range of customers.
  • Implement better communication regarding appointment confirmations.

Conclusion: A Pharmacy with Potential

Overall, while there are notable strengths like the commitment to inclusivity and the availability of various payment options, the persistent complaints around service efficiency cannot be ignored. Customers are encouraged to weigh their options and experiences carefully when choosing LloydsPharmacy in Burntisland.

It's just too darn slow, and there are way too many staff members in the back area working on orders. There's just not enough staff available to help customers at the front counter with dispensing medications.

Hey guys, just wanted to share a little tip I recently discovered. If you're having trouble with the automatic doors at the pharmacy, don't forget to press the button on your way in and out. It really helps to ensure a smooth and hassle-free entry and exit. Just a little trick that has made my visits to the pharmacy a lot easier!

What an utter mess - it always has been and remains so.

The operating hours listed on Google do not align with those online. Supposedly there is a shortage of staff, hence why a note displays conflicting opening times between 10AM—1PM and 3PM-4:30PM. Why not take the effort to update your operating hours instead of inconveniencing people?

I arrived at 9AM only to find the pharmacy closed. After calling, a lady approached the door and simply stated she couldn’t fulfill my prescription as the pharmacist was delayed. When I inquired about the delay, her response was rather impolite.

Upon calling again, I spoke to another less-than-friendly woman who instructed me to return at 10AM. When I mentioned her colleague’s advice to wait for the pharmacist, she insisted on checking if the prescription was prepared. It wasn’t. Interestingly, the day before, she had assured me it would be ready by 4PM. I proceeded to take my prescription to a different Lloyds pharmacy where it was ready in a mere 10 minutes. What a complete joke.

Whether short-staffed or not, this pharmacy has consistently been chaotic with lengthy waiting times. On numerous occasions, they failed to have my prescription despite my doctor sending it.

You would be better off fetching your own prescription and seeking services elsewhere - which is what I typically do, unless urgency dictates otherwise. While I occasionally risk it with Lloyds Burntisland for quick medication, more often than not it has proven to be a regrettable decision.

Steer clear!

Just popped down the pharmacy during me dinner break to grab some antihistamines, right? So, I go to pay with cash and the bloke there tells me they don't accept it. I'm like, mate, that's illegal not to take cash! And he just tells me to sort it out with Lloyds themselves. So off I go to another pharmacy where they happily took me cash. Won't be going back to Lloyds for anything, shocking attitude they 'ad, innit.

Absolutely dreadful service. I made an online booking for a test, you see. Traveled all the way to Burntisland for me blood test. Had me email confirmation for the appointment, I did. But when I got there, they tells me the contraption is broken and they ain't taking no appointments. Why not cancel them bookings online then, eh? Total waste of me time, it was.
