Welcome to Rowlands Pharmacy: A Community Hub in Broxburn

Rowlands Pharmacy, located in Broxburn, is more than just a place to pick up your prescriptions; it serves as a Transgender safe space and an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment that aims to provide a welcoming environment for everyone. The pharmacy understands the importance of inclusivity and strives to foster a supportive atmosphere for all members of the community.

Service Options and Accessibility

At Rowlands Pharmacy, you can enjoy a variety of service options designed to meet your needs. Whether you prefer in-store shopping or in-store pick-up, the pharmacy makes it easy for you to access your medications. Customers appreciate the wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that everyone can have safe and easy access to their services. However, some reviews indicate that while the staff is helpful and friendly, the pharmacy struggles with being adequately resourced. Despite having more staff than before, some customers have expressed concerns about long wait times and organizational issues. For those using NFC mobile payments, debit cards, and credit cards, it's essential to be patient as the pharmacy navigates these challenges.

The Crowded Experience

As noted by many customers, there always seems to be a considerable crowd at Rowlands Pharmacy. While this indicates a strong demand for their services, it often leads to longer waiting times. One customer mentioned that even after placing a repeat prescription order, they faced delays that required multiple visits to secure their medications. Many have pointed out that despite the chaotic atmosphere, the staff works diligently to assist everyone. Reviewers have highlighted the importance of patience, noting that workers are doing their best under pressure.

Customer Feedback: The Good and the Bad

While Rowlands Pharmacy has its strengths, feedback from customers reveals both positives and negatives. On one hand, several customers praised the staff for their hard work, especially during busy periods. They appreciate the effort to help get medications ready as quickly as possible, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, numerous complaints have surfaced regarding GDPR compliance, with some customers feeling uncomfortable due to sensitive information being shouted across the pharmacy. Delays in filling prescriptions have also frustrated patrons, leading to dissatisfaction with the service. While one could argue that every pharmacy faces busy days, consistency in service seems to be a recurring issue.

Staying Connected and Getting Support

For those who require timely assistance or need to address any issues with their prescriptions, it’s recommended to call ahead. However, many have experienced difficulties reaching the pharmacy by phone due to it being switched off, which adds to their frustrations. In summary, Rowlands Pharmacy in Broxburn serves as a vital community resource, offering both medications and support in a friendly environment. While challenges remain, including staffing and wait times, the commitment to customer care and accessibility is evident. By recognizing these issues, Rowlands Pharmacy aims to improve the experience for everyone within the community.

The team at this pharmacy is absolutely brilliant, always ready to lend a hand. However, when they're rushed off their feet, things can grind to a halt. It's a classic catch-22 situation!
Catherine Sullivan (08/06/2025, 07:50):
This pharmacy is the absolute worst I've ever encountered!!! I gave them my prescription 2 weeks ago and it still wasn't ready. They frequently run out of medication and the lines are always long due to understaffing. I won't be returning, and I suggest you don't waste your time either, folks!!!!
Eugene Brooks (06/06/2025, 00:52):
Handy for the doctor's office, but lacking in customer service and extremely sluggish.
Kimberly Green (01/06/2025, 07:24):
While it may be convenient for the GPs, I must say that this pharmacy is certainly the slowest I have ever encountered. The staff can come across as quite dismissive and unbothered by the lengthy wait times. Thankfully, there are fantastic pharmacies in Uphall and Broxburn that are both speedier and more welcoming.
Karen Howard (31/05/2025, 10:04):
I can't believe it took 4 days to get my prescription filled. Absolutely ridiculous!
Bradley Hall (30/05/2025, 08:25):
Fantastic pharmacy with a top-notch team, always incredibly helpful and polite. They truly went above and beyond during the lockdown. Kudos to the entire staff for their dedication and hard work!
Aaron Ramirez (27/05/2025, 19:41):
Do not ever fill prescriptions punctually. Always behind schedule. Avoid answering their phone calls.
Bobby Reed (26/05/2025, 23:36):
Lloyd's always prioritizes the customer in everything they do. The team has top-notch interpersonal skills and consistently goes above and beyond to assist all visitors.
Allison Reynolds (18/05/2025, 04:25):
This pharmacy is utterly useless, I tell you. You submit a repeat prescription, and they tell you it takes 4 days to sort it out. Then you arrive to collect it, only to be kept waiting for an hour while they get their act together. The entire purpose of pre-ordering is to avoid such tiresome delays. If they can't handle the job, they shouldn't offer the service at all. You might forgive them if this happened just once, but it's a recurring nightmare every time. Pull yourselves together, Lloyd's!
Leonard Russell (17/05/2025, 09:51):
The service at this pharmacy is quite disorganized, it takes them a whole week to fill a prescription.
Ann Long (10/05/2025, 13:27):
I had a dreadful experience at the pharmacy and will be switching to a new one as soon as possible. When I went there, they claimed that my prescription had only just arrived that day, even though my doctor confirmed it was sent three days ago. I placed an online order on Sunday and it still wasn't ready by Friday. They told me to come back at 4pm to collect it, but the service was truly appalling.
Rebecca Parker (08/05/2025, 19:49):
I must say, this pharmacy is top notch! The staff here are absolutely amazing, always going above and beyond to assist customers, even handling the occasional rude or impatient ones with grace and respect.
Angela Baker (07/05/2025, 15:55):
The staff at this pharmacy are just lovely and provide excellent service. They always help me out when I need medication. It can get quite busy with orders, so be prepared to wait or come back later. Remember to be patient with the workers as they work very hard and sometimes encounter issues between prescriptions and GP systems. It's a good idea to call ahead to make sure your prescription is ready. Also, keep in mind that Covid protocols are in place. Cheers!
Kathleen Richardson (07/05/2025, 03:43):
This Pharmacy, right, they're sending Prescriptions all the way to Warrington (I need to double-check my last prescription for the postcode but I'm pretty sure). It's causing a wait time of up to five days, can you believe it? I've even gone and arranged to have a word with both my MP and MSP about this whole situation. In England, people are paying £9.35 per item, while in Scotland it's free! And get this, the folks making up the prescriptions in England have to pay, but then they send them to Scotland for free! Does that make any sense to anybody? Nope, didn't think so. And let me tell you, the Pharmacist, well, they're a disgrace as well.
Carl Parker (06/05/2025, 21:06):
I cannot wait for a long time.
Harold Barnes (04/05/2025, 21:11):
The staff was very helpful and friendly, I had a great experience.
Jordan James (21/04/2025, 03:20):
Absolutely chaotic, no organization at all and a complete disregard for GDPR as they loudly announce people's names, addresses, and other private information across the pharmacy. They only gave me half of my prescription and misplaced the other one. The staff seem to have no sense of urgency even though there is a long line out the door. It's impossible to reach them by phone to report prescription errors because the phone is always off.
