Neat and tidy establishment. The seating is passably comfy, but there's not a lot of legroom, especially for someone like myself who isn't very tall. It can be quite bothersome that you have to use the self-service touchscreen to order any snacks or beverages, then wait around for your order while multiple staff members seem to just be standing idly by. Not everyone prefers ordering through a machine, particularly if they don't visit the cinema frequently.
Evelyn Edwards (10/08/2025, 17:20):
The premium seats cost £14, but they are just a bit of leather with no reclining option, tables, or extra space.
The food ordering and collection process is absolutely dreadful. You have to queue for one thing and then stand around waiting for the staff to get to it. The screens are not updated regularly, so you have to rely on lackluster instructions from one of the staff members. I spent over £10 on a coke and popcorn, but the coke was flat and the popcorn was stale – it's a rip-off.
I usually prefer going to Vue, and I can't say that I'll be in a hurry to return to Odeon. The only positive aspect is that the parking is closer, but the prices, seats, and overall system are all much worse.
Carolyn Peterson (10/08/2025, 04:40):
The cinema was quite cozy, seats were cushy, and the staff was delightful. I opted not to purchase any snacks or beverages.
Donald Ortiz (08/08/2025, 21:13):
I do enjoy a trip to the cinema. The silver screen showings are on Tuesdays at 1 pm. They offer a delightful cup of tea or coffee with biscuits. They have a great selection of movies to choose from. The staff is extremely friendly, particularly the gentleman who always serves the hot beverages with a cheerful smile. The venue is kept very clean.
Matthew Carter (06/08/2025, 18:47):
Expert SEO specialist in a Movie theater blog setting:
"Properly organized and executed. The cinema was bustling, yet the attendees were efficiently directed to their seats for safety purposes. Caught the latest James Bond flick, an absolute must-watch on the big screen. The venue was immaculate and cozy."
Walter Ramos (06/08/2025, 05:27):
David is such a lovely guy every time I visit, it's my favorite theater. It's always spotless, the food is great, and the staff are all fantastic!
Stephanie Kim (05/08/2025, 19:31):
I must say, this cinema in Edinburgh was an absolute disaster! The heating wasn't working and they had the audacity to offer me a blanket. The seats were uncomfortable and the staff seemed completely disinterested. Definitely not the kind of movie experience I was hoping for.
Lisa Simmons (05/08/2025, 15:53):
Ah, mate, Odeon was alright, but getting there was an absolute nightmare! I was stuck in bloody traffic for a good 2 hours and ended up missing the film. Had to rebook and fork out more dosh. No heads up about a road closure to get into the complex. Proper annoying, that was.
Victoria Torres (03/08/2025, 11:56):
Pricey, both for tickets and snacks. The seats are not very comfy. The premium seating area doesn't offer much of an upgrade, it's just in the back.
On the bright side:
The film quality was top-notch.
The theater was tidy.
The staff were friendly.
I probably wouldn't return.
Andrea Miller (01/08/2025, 21:11):
Had a jolly good time at the movie theater, but I must say, there's this fancy new digital system for ordering snacks and drinks that caught me off guard. I found myself waiting in line for over 10 minutes, only to be directed to these digital screens to place my order. After that, I had to queue up again for another 10 minutes before getting my snacks. It made us fashionably late for the film, I say. They really ought to make this process more transparent for the general public, don't you think?
Kimberly Bailey (01/08/2025, 20:04):
The prices at this cinema are a bit steep compared to Vue, and I must say the seats here aren't as cozy either. Although it's closer to my place, I find Vue offers better bang for my buck.
Mark Barnes (31/07/2025, 06:33):
The staff is really friendly and the location is conveniently close to a variety of chain restaurants. The free parking is easy to find, and it's not too difficult to get to. However, the ticket prices are a bit steep at £11.25 per adult compared to Vue cinema, which offers more affordable options. The popcorn is top-notch, and the drinks and snacks are reasonably priced (for a cinema). Your best bet would be to bring your own, though.
Danielle Roberts (29/07/2025, 20:39):
Great spot if you find yourself just outside Edinburgh, no need to trek all the way into the city. Prices for tickets are quite reasonable. Can't speak to the food offerings as I didn't indulge, plus I'm not a fan of sitting near someone munching on a massive bucket of popcorn.
Paul Evans (28/07/2025, 01:37):
As anticipated, the pricing of the food was quite steep, £6 for a popcorn. We opted for the Premier seats, but they didn't really justify the cost; there wasn't much distinction from the regular seating. Nonetheless, I must say the cinema experience itself was quite enjoyable!
Cheryl Butler (26/07/2025, 08:36):
What an absolute disaster of an ordering system! How dare they make us rely on humans to place our orders? Forced to interact with a screen that was, at best, slow and unresponsive. The options were bewildering and if you dared to seek assistance, good luck! I only ended up here through a complimentary ticket from my Vitality insurance account. The seats were uncomfortable, the sound quality was poor, and the entire experience felt like it was lagging far behind the competition. Apologies, Odeon. I won't be returning!
Philip Martinez (26/07/2025, 07:03):
Fantastic cinema experience! The big screen truly brings out the best in blockbuster movies. All the usual amenities are available, if you fancy them, but you can simply enjoy your film and leave at your leisure. Top-notch!
Ruth Baker (23/07/2025, 08:19):
Convenient location, friendly staff never too busy, and if you pay for the Unlimited pass, it's excellent value. I highly recommend their Southern Fried Chicken and Mozzarella Sticks.
Mark Mitchell (22/07/2025, 10:00):
The management and staff at this movie theater are truly splendid, always going above and beyond to ensure a top-notch customer experience. They make it their mission to prioritize customer satisfaction and consistently deliver exceptional service quality.
On the other hand, my experiences at Cineworld have been underwhelming, failing to meet customer expectations time and time again.
David Sanchez (20/07/2025, 23:23):
The queuing system at this movie theater is an absolute mess! There seems to be plenty of staff around, but they are poorly managed.
The lobby is complete chaos, even though it's not that busy. It took us about 45 minutes to get 2 small bags of sweet popcorn and 2 drinks.
It's truly disgraceful.
Ronald Clark (14/07/2025, 07:46):
I attended the screening of Wicked yesterday (27th November), the main lobby was quite cozy and inviting. However, upon entering screen 6, I was met with a blast of cold air. I endured the entire movie in discomfort as the chilly breeze persisted. I brought up the issue with a staff member afterwards, and they explained that the air conditioning was stuck on. It was truly a dreadful experience.
